I bought two of these at the start of winter. I liked idea that they could extend. But the screw in mechanism is not strong enough to actually hold the brush steady. It flips sideways and sometimes even smacks the car's surface. In addition the foam handle rotates so you don't seem ever to be holding it steady.
In the picture attached (see arrows) I fixed both problems by inserting a screw which disables the length adjustment but at least makes it stable. I also glued the foam handle by stuffing weather-strip adhesive under the handle.
Now they work well. HD should not sell these anymore.

Very disappointed with the product. The extendable snow brush...
Very disappointed with the product. The extendable snow brush does not hold in place tried removing the snow but didn't hold in place, kept turning.

It's Junk fell a part the second time I used...

The grip is not secure, so does not hold tight...
The grip is not secure, so does not hold tight for sweeping. To top it off, the locking mechanism on the extendable handle broke immediately, which means it spins freely in the sleeve making it very ineffective for sweeping/scraping. Great concept, poor execution.
