A:  Seems to the same thickness as any knife. It makes a great clean cut. While I draw a line on the insulation, it takes a bit of practice to have a good straight cut, probably would be if I took the time to be exact.

A:  The blade is thick enough to not flex when cutting. It cuts very cleanly if you take your time.

A:  Blade is similar thickness to a kitchen bread knife. Cuts very cleanly if you are using it for mineral wool insulation.

      A:  I wouldn't use it on fiberglass insulation. A non-serrated blade will cut better.

      A:  This is a serrated knife and as such can be sharpened the same way a serrated bread knife is sharpened. Please use the appropriate sharpeners for serrated knives that are sold on the market today. Thanks for your question.

        A:  Mine still sharp after 6 packs of insulation. Have not used it on anything else.
