Hampton Bay Unfinished wood doors feature Sturdy Construction Joined with 90 degree angles at the corners and butt joint doors. This product is available in a variety of materials including Maple, Red Oak, Birch, and MDF Panel/Hardwood Frame material options for painted or stained projects. Versatile Hinge Durable Salice hinge can be used for face frame or frameless applications. Optional door boring when ordering hinges, as well as, Fingerpulls option for Ease of Opening Doors and drawer fronts.
- Frame material is ¾" thick solid wood.
- Cabinet doors are made to order in size increments up to 1/16 in. of an inch
- Maple wood colors range from white to off-white cream color, reddish or golden hues with limited color and grain variations, making it a great option for a clear or stained finish.
- Red Oak wood colors range from white to light brown, pink and reddish hues, variety of grain variations and some natural mineral streaking, making it great with a clear or stained finish.
- Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) panels are paired with wood frames made of hardwood material for painting purposes. MDF is a highly stable composite material used for painting, with a very smooth texture and no grain direction, making it ideal for painted projects.
- Birch Colors range from white to light reddish-brown and include natural characteristics, straight-grained variations, plain or wavy patterns. Recessed panel doors will have a Birch panel and an Alder frame. Birch is best used for medium to dark stain projects or painting. Birch is best used for dark stain projects or painting.
- The 5-Piece drawer fronts of Butt Joint doors use a smaller width top and bottom rail, allowing for smaller drawer front sizes while keeping the right and left stiles of the drawer fronts the same width of the door frame for a cohesive look.
- Determine if it needs a left-Hinge or right hinge when looking at the front of the cabinet door. Hinge boring will coordinate with your choice.
- If selecting finger grooves routed into the top and bottom on the back edge of the door the groove starts 2 in. from the corners and runs the length of the top and/or bottom.
- Compact Concealed Hinges are soft-closing and allow for easy 3-way adjustments after installation.
- Unfinished cabinet doors can be used for any indoor cabinet project including kitchen, bath, closet, laundry and storage cabinets.
- Standard grain direction for Slab and 5-Piece Drawer Fronts is horizontal. Standard grain direction for Doors is vertical
- For all square, raised and recessed panel doors, a center rail will be added at 48 in.
