Portable Propane Gas Fire Pit

I purchased 2 of these units. The pits are very easy to unbox and set up. No assembly required other than opening a couple bags of rock to put in the pit. Flame is decent (not a bonfire), but the heat is outs out was nice. Main complaint, 1 was damaged and the amount of rocks is not the same across each pit.

Took this RV camping. The fire would not get lit and stay high. Need to find something that puts out more flame. Heininger fire pit is on the right. Flame wasn’t as good as my neighbors old fire pit, regardless of BTUs. All bets are off when the temps plunge and you want a big fire and they don’t allow wood in SoCal.

Easy to assemble and use. I light it on cool mornings and enjoy drinking coffee on my deck. It is warm and cozy and the best part - it is smoke free! It is also great for toasting marshmallows. We have a Trex deck and there is no heat transfer from below the fire bowl at all. We really enjoy it!

I purchased this fire bowl about a month ago and we use it almost nightly. I have burned through four 20lb tanks of propane already and I consistently get 7-9 hours of heat and ambiance per tank. The lava rocks do get some soot on them after some use, but I don't notice at all when the fire is lit.

With the incremental cost of building a propane fire pit prohibitive this is a great solution. I used this as the basis for constructing a stone fire pit. It is surrounded by stacked stone and is easily removed for the rainy months.

With the dry winter we had here in Southern California the fire restrictions have been upped to record levels and just before our annual camping trip we learned that camp fires have been forbidden. However, propane fire pits are still allowed (propane devices with on/off switches) and I quickly ordered this pit and paid an extra $20 for expedited shipping. It arrived in only 3 days and worked perfectly right out of the box. Construction is sturdy and the pit came with an extra bag of decorative rocks. Average usage over the 6 day trip was 5-6hrs per night and we used approx 2/3 of a 20lb tank each night (manuf booklet states 7-10 hrs, which seems about right). The amount of heat was good enough for 6-10 people to sit around and feel comfortable while roasting marshmallows (lows in the 50's). Great portable pit and quite a few friends on the trip asked for details so they could buy one when they got home.

I really do love my new firepit. We roasted marshmellows over it the other night and the atmosphere was great. we loved it and I believe we will enjoy it for years to come. I actually used it for a center for a stone firepit inside my pool enclosure.
