if I remember right, I ordered a lanyard online and was also confused. I had no choice on the color. I received a red one and preferred a orange one, but was satisfied with this color. I wanted a bright color so I could find my ID/keys.

I was send a red lanyard which I did not mind. However, I prefered the orange lanyard. I did not have a choice of colors.
