AnswersIt is Pressed wood. I just assembled this and the quality is very poor. Have to be very careful during assembly. it is very easy to strip screws and split the fake wood material. If assembly goes well the final product looks nice. The price is too high for the poor quality though. Would not recommend buying this for anything over $350.

Love my new hall tree

I really like this Hall tree. It is very sturdy and seems like a very good quality. It took a long time to put together, but it was not difficult to do so. I followed the directions step by step and it was a very straightforward process. The pieces are well marked. I received all of the boxes with every single piece arriving safely. The color is definitely more on the sage green side as other reviews said, but even knowing that beforehand was not an issue because I knew it would still go with my decor. I am very excited to get my entryway organized!
Don’t listen to other Reviews. This turned out Beautiful.

I’m 57 and my daughter is 27 and we put this together in about 4hrs of not Hard work. Directions were easy to follow. Helpful hint: dont over screw in the screws. Turned out fantastic.

We are severely disappointed in the quality of the materials used for this. No one shoild pay full price for it. We have bought other assembly type build products and this is among the lowest end for compenents ever. The screws a soft metal and strip easily. This is packaged to ship well. But its not worth what they seek for cost. Might be returning it

Love my hall tree! It is sturdy and not terribly difficult to put together, as long as you follows the directions. When drilling screws into back panel, go at angle, towards the frame to avoid going through front panel. It does take two people at certain points, to move shelving into bench. But for the most part I put it together with the help of my husband.
Love this piece! Absolutely gorgeous! I also purchased the storage bench as well.

I am furious that I wasted my money this piece is TRASH ....it’s NOT WOOD AT ALL and the trouble it takes to put it together has me even more furious. I bought this beautiful hall tree for my daughter's home and it is an absolute show-stopper. It fit like a GLOVE at the foot of her stairs/foyer. Very well constructed and relatively easy to put together. The only downside is that it is a tremendous amount of packaging and the top cubbyholes are difficult to find baskets for (as they are an odd size and shape).

Saw this hall tree in a non-HD store & loved it so when I saw at HD on sale, had to buy it. I did not put the doors on b/c looks fine w/out & easier to put shoes in/out
Pros:
Ivory color which matches my kitchen cabinets very well
Selling home soon - wanted to add mudroom feature like new homes have, so will be installing it as a permanent cabinet
Great quality; heavy, so needed 2 ppl to lift
Directions very clear; went together well
Cams have indicators so can tell where opening is & which way to turn to close
Cons - gave a 4-star for this reason:
Recommend opening this outdoors - overwhelming chemical smell from all pieces in all 3 boxes
Smell caused me to feel bad for 2 hours; Had to leave all pieces to off-gas outdoors for 3 days
Cushion still smells & remains outdoors (brought in for pics only)
