C2 Wired Wi-Fi Indoor Security Camera with Intelligent Audio Detection

Extremely surprised by the quality and simplicity of the device. Clips are easily accessible on your mobile in just a few steps. At first I was concerned with additional costs, but nope, everything you need is in the box and there in the app once installed. Very satisfied after 2 weeks of using the device.

this is a truly exceptional security camera. To set it up all you need do is plug it in, download the honeywell app, and pair the camera with your smartphone and WiFi. Then you can view your camera from anywhere you can get reliable data connections on your smartphone. The camera clarity and definition is outstanding.The night vision is excellent although not as clear as the daylight display. The field of vision is amazing. You get a greater than 180 degree view that is just as sharp near the edges as in the center. You can easily zoom and pan the display to see greater detail. The camera is very well constructed and has a solid base with a good rubber footing. I'd like a longer cord but I haven't ordered one yet. The one that comes with the camera is probably 4'. I'd like a 10' to allow me to set the camera in places further from a power outlet. I think one is available for purchase. The honeywell app is easy to use and has many features to set alarming based on sound or motion detected. You can talk over the camera using your app as well. I haven't explored all the options, but the app seems very well written, works very well and is feature rich.

I purchased these from home depot basically to keep an eye on our pets. I looked at dozens of cameras and these seemed to fit my use better than others. These work well for what they are. I think all these relatively inexpensive security cameras have similar limitations. They can consistently detect 100lb+ humans within 15 feet, but only when its well lit. Larger cats have to be within 6 feet, smaller cats forget about it unless they run through the field of vision. In darker rooms, forget about detecting anything consistently. I’ve been using cheap game cameras for years, and they do a much better job detecting movement (they have separate motion sensors, these types of security cameras analyze the video for movement). The sensitivity can be adjusted to three levels and zoned to suppress nuisance detection, but even at the highest sensitivity it leaves a bit to be desired. Detection performance doesn’t seem to change regardless of what level the sensitivity is set at. These cameras offer a nice set of features, however. The online storage of 50 30 second clips or 24 hours (whichever is less) and set up options make these full featured and work well out of the box. The 30 second clip includes the 5 seconds before the trigger. It can be set up to send notifications and emails when an event is detected. They have a SD card for recording should internet be lost during an event. The videos upload once internet returns, and you view them in the online viewer. You can’t view these directly from the SD card, must view from online. Putting a larger SD card in does nothing to increase the daily clip limits at this time as the online and SD storage are synced together. Larger/longer storage options are not available at this time. The video seems to have small areas a little out of focus, perhaps the lens material is inconsistent. The field of view is excellent. They are small, lightweight, easily mounted or set on a shelf/table. The cameras set up easily (takes a few minutes). When first set up they worked fine for a bit, then became quirky. I discovered that they were downloading and updating to the latest firmware so it just appeared to be flakey but returned to stable operating after the updates (took several minutes). This may be why some have reported set issues. I mounted these high near the ceiling to get a broad view of 16x18 rooms. I intended to just look in live now and then to see whats up, and these work well for that. As others have said, the daytime video quality is good, especially when viewed on an iPad app. You can zoom in and out and move about (two fingers pinch and drag on the iPad or iOS device). The nighttime IR range is too short for coverage of a darker room. Although I can view live anytime, I found that if these cameras could detect cat movements at 10-15 feet, it would be a killer device. They are pretty much useless in the dark for anything more than say 5 feet away. As mentioned, as a baby monitor the camera needs to be within 6 feet or so for best results. There is two way audio, but the speaker is weak. These are limited to iOS and Android apps for viewing at this time. Honeywell's customer support is pretty good.

The Lyric Mini Plus C2 wi-fi camera from Honeywell is a high resolution 1080i full HD color mini camera designed to be placed almost anywhere indoors. Supplied mounting brackets provide flexibility to the standard base. The unit is fairly small, round, and white in color. Power is supplied through a standard USB type A/C adaptor. You do need a home network to connect the camera through Wi-Fi. The setup is very easy, download the iOS or android Lyric app to your smart phone or mobile device, setup an account on Lyric. Then follow the quick start guide and let the camera scan the barcode on your mobile device and follow the instructions. It takes about ten minutes to get up and running. The camera comes with an 8 GB MicroSD memory card for storing videos, and you can view the last 24 hours of video from the free cloud storage service. You can also take snapshots with the camera and download saved video recordings. The settings allow you to define the sensitivity to motion and sounds, including four custom zones, to send alerts. You can use push notification and/or email alerts. The camera claims it can detect smoke alarms or CO alarms going off as well as background noises, and will inform you of the difference. If the camera detects motion or sound it records the “event” and you can view the playback. Two-way communication is possible. Infra-red built into the camera face aids night vision. Camera has a wide range of sight at 135 degrees and has a 6x zoom feature. The smart phone app allows you to customize the features of the camera, and you can turn on and off the motion or the sound alerts. It has a geofence feature where it will sense your smart phone in the area and turn off the alerts. It will then automatically turn the alerts back on if you leave the area. Video quality is crisp and you can zoom in and pan around the image as you like. Sound quality is good also. The image has encryption to keep your video safe. Unit is attractive and its small size keeps fairly unnoticeable. Suitable for monitoring a baby or general household security surveillance. Phone app is easy to use and has many features.

We have several other indoor security cameras in our home and the Lyric C2 qualifies as one of the better ones. The instructions were detailed and easy to follow. Set up took me approximately an hour and fifteen minutes including a few interruptions along the way. I like the size and design of the camera. I chose to set it on a table even though it has hardware for mounting on the ceiling or a wall. It has a wide angle lens with exceptional quality video. The audio function will alert you to specific sounds such as crying babies, carbon monoxide alarms, and smoke alarms and has a two way talk feature. There are three settings for audio, which increase in volume. It has free cloud storage up to 24 hours and a free SD card. I cannot address the longevity of this camera as I have only had the camera a short time, but I own other Honeywell products which have lasted a long time. I am very satisfied with this product.

Super easy to set up and use with my iPhone 6S Plus. The picture quality and ability to track when out of town is perfect. I was able to set up this product in a few minutes in my home. The free cloud storage is perfect and works very quickly. The 8 G SD card is included and will store up to 24 hours. The camera comes with three different types of mounts. I am using it on a table, but it can also be ceiling or wall mounted. There is a two way audio feature and smart alerts for my phone. I set it up to banner on my phone and was able to track my cat when I left town for the night. The lyric APP was free and installed very quickly. This is a name brand that I can trust, designed in the USA with a 6 times zoom camera lens. I am using it to watch my cat when I am out of town or away from home. She sleeps in one chair, so I have it positioned so I can watch her clearly. Great product for baby, pets, or just security. The night vision is very clear. I was emailed when motion was selected as a field.

There's a lot I like about this camera but I also have a few issues with it. It's compact and nicely designed. I had a heck of a time setting it up. It took about a dozen times going through the set up process before it would pair with my phone or network, I'm not sure which it was. Once it pairs it then takes you through the settings such as geofencing, alert zones and sensitivity, which I highly recommend you choose at this point because I skipped a couple of things and found that I couldn't change them later without resetting the camera and going through the whole set up process again. Maybe I was missing something but those settings are no where to be found on the app. I do like that it has motion alerts and sound alerts which can be turned on or off independently. It also has 2 way voice communication which is great. It records to the cloud for free(at least for now, which is a big plus) or an 8 GB SD card which is included(also a plus). It has a nice stand which can also be wall mounted or the stand can be removed and the camera can just be hung on the wall. The video is great quality with a wide angle.

High res! Easily setup, this camera was up and running in just a few minutes. I was pleasantly surprised at the wide angle of the lens, much wider than any other cameras in my house. It picks up audio in accordance with the options selected for "whisper", "normal", or "loud" sounds. Notification to your smart phone can be automatic, or you can select No Notification. I turn it on Automatic when I'm away from the house. It will also pick up the smoke alarm sound and notify you of that! My only complaint is that on Live View, there is a 3-4 second delay. That is not a deal breaker, and I can highly recommend the Lyric C2.

1 unit camera failed after 1 year. 2 still working but to many false alarms.
