Light is not bright enough to light a room
The fan is nice quality and the price is great. But it does not produce sufficient light. I have it in a 12x12 room and it barely lights the area. You get a small circle of light around the fan and that's it. Half the room is in a shadow. If it wasn't already installed I would have taken it back. Do not buy this if it will be the only light source in the room.

Fan motor is loud on 2 of 3 I bought.
I installed this fan in 3 rooms. They look nice and work well but I had to exchange 2 due to the motor being loud. This seems to be a common issue after reading other reviews.

Very good installation instructions
This ceiling fan/light was easy to install not complicated and took me about 2 hours which included installing a commercial ceiling fan support junction box. I also purchased the support junction box at Home Depot. The support brace is rated at supporting 70#'s while the fan/light weighs 16#'s. Just follow the enclosed instructions that detail step by step the installation process for the fan/light. I also installed wireless switches so the light and fan can be turned on/off independent from one another. The wireless receiver for the light also includes a dimming feature with 4 levels of brightness. (if using LED bulbs make sure you install one that is dimmable) The light kit has 4 very small screws that hold it in place so you will need to use a magnetic screw driver. It takes a little patience because you have to fit many wires inside the fan housing before you can screw on the light kit. Since I was working alone I took a small piece of 12/2 wire and fit it into one of the screw holes to provide some support. Then with a magnetic screw driver I was able to screw in the very small screws. Also I used lever wire connectors rather than screw nuts. When installed correctly the lever connectors lock the wire inside the connector making for s sure connection. After connecting all the wires in lever connectors I carefully pushed them inside the junction box. The wireless receivers were secured to the ceiling with a very small screw. Only the small white antenna stuck out of the fan housing. Installing the fan/light was not hard but involved a lot of labor so make sur eyou set aside 2 hours to complete the project.

A fantastic value!
I bought this around 4 years ago to put in a house we were renting, I didn't want to spend a lot of money on the fan incase I didn't want to take it down. A little bit difficult to install compared to normal fans, make sure to follow instructions, some things are not as intuitive as you would think. The fans don't move a ton of air and they don't put out a lot of light, but we bought them on sale for $40 and can't beat what you get for the price! I even moved the fans to another house!

Clicks incessantly
While the fan is running, it clicks incessantly. We have 3 other fans in the house, one of which is the same brand as this one (but a smaller size) and none of them are nearly as loud. Would not recommend
