The instructions show a dual switch installation option. That’s not accurate. The blue wire will carry power back to the second switch. The blue wire is superfluous and should be capped / not used. This fan is not compatible with dual switch operation and, given the inaccurate instructions and superfluous blue wire, this issue should be expressly included in the description if the product.

Easy assembly moves a lot of air

We bought two of these fans and we couldnt be happier. The black color looks great against tje white ceiling and walls. The fan works great and the remote is a plus!

This was one of the easiest to follow set of instructions I have ever had the joy to follow. Yes, I used the word joy. Very clear, step by step, and easy to DIY. I had an electrician wire the ceiling box and I did the rest. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating was there wasn't a mention in the instructions about removing a shipping ring from the bottom of the fan motor. Just a red sticker on the unit itself. It was pretty obvious when I got to that point, that it needed to be removed. The other reason it gets a 4 star is the back of the remote would not slide open. I had to completely disassemble the remote-prying it open-just to get to the pairing button on the circuit board. I finally youtubed the remote and saw what it was supposed to do. It took some work to finally get the door unjammed from the back of the remote cover. I am hoping I'll be able to get it off when the battery dies.

Fan was easy to install. Had to add an 18” extension rod because it was mounted inside a gazebo with a slanted roof. Blades are one piece so do not have to screw them to a blade holder, just slide them in and tighten the screws. Remember to remove the yellow shipping bracket before the installing the light kit or the blades won’t turn. I would definitely recommend this fan for any outdoor environment.

HUNTER INVECTOR 60” 6 Blade Ceiling Fan is a nice large fan for larger rooms. The Fan is an all black finish with 6 plastic blades and a light kit included. The fan comes with a remote control that operates the light as well as the fan with speed control and dimming. The motor has over 6’ of wiring harness for stem mounting (sold separately) if you choose to lower the fan from the included short stem. The balancing kit is included also if the fan should wobble. The operation is smooth and quiet. The fan can be used indoors or in a damp location. The light kit includes two lamps to install with the kit. The light lens is glass and is a white finish to diffuse the lights. The fan blades are inserted into the motor at a predetermined angle of attack for lots of air movement. The instructions are clear and concise and easy to follow. This is a sharp looking product that works well and is high quality as you would expect from the HUNTER brand.

Let's Just Say This First ----> These are the best fans ... ever! As many of you know, The HandyManiacs install more ceiling fans than any one ... maybe in the world. Every room in Arizona has one and when we put this one up, the ooo's and ahh's are fantastic. If you are the least bit handy, you can do it. If not, ask for help ... it's not a big deal and your room will look great and work great for a good long time.

I’ve installed about ten Hunter Fans, and more than half had remote receivers that sit in the upper cavity of the fan mounting bracket. This one features a receiver prewired and integrated into the motor housing. That eliminates some wiring and having to stuff the receiver and wires into the bracket cavity and canopy space. Now you can push all the wiring with wire nuts up into the electrical box where they belong with little effort. Make sure you cap the blue wire by itself if your fan is controlled at one versus two switches. This blue wire is NOT for light control like the blue wire on many other fans. It is the second “traveler” in a 3-way switch arrangement. Installing the blades is also made easier with preinstalled center screws that initially locate the blade and hold it in place while you install the two outer screws. One blade did have a slightly deformed slot that required removing the center screw to get the blade in place. I was able to reinstall the screw at the end of the slot. The light fixture installs with 3 screws for the outer housing followed by just two push-together connectors that you can’t get wrong. Then you finish the installation with 3 more screws. There is no capacitor or other wiring in the way making the job simpler. The lens twists into place and drops into slots. The fan is extremely quiet even on high and air movement is excellent from the curved blades. I did have to balance the blades to remove a moderate amount of wobble and it did take a while. The finish is even and free of flaws. The remote control not only controls the light on/off and the fan but also controls the direction of the fan as well as dimming and an audible beep when changes are made. Hunter’s years of fan design experience show in this model but I would still like to see all fans separated from the remotes and receivers so the customer can select a traditional remote or Bluetooth & Wi-Fi remote as an option. As of now, it appears Hunter fans require something that looks like a hub to operate their Wi-Fi remote. Seems like they should be looking at options to put everything necessary to connect to a home hub such as Wink, SmartThings and so on. Just good enough to earn 5 stars from someone who is conservative with reviews.
