I looked at the warranty page and it looks like it has a 5 year warranty as noted below under the Professional Duty Soft-Sided Bags/Pouches Black Bags category which looks to be closest in description to this backpack. You do not have to 'do' anything to get the warranty. Professional Duty Soft-Sided Bags/Pouches Black Bags 5 Year Limited Warranty If within five years from date of purchase, this Husky product fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship, return the product to any Home Depot retail store with a receipt indicating proof of purchase for replacement with an item of equal or greater value. This warranty excludes incidental/inconsequential damages and failures due to misuse, abuse or normal wear and tear. This warranty gives you specific rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state. Please see store or call 1-888-HD-HUSKY It also has a 180 day return policy separate of a warranty.

How big of a Laptop will this fit?

My 14" laptop fits great in the sleeve in the rear section. My previous 15.6" fit tight in the rear sleeve but you then couldn't zip the bag shut. A 15.6 would need to be outside the inner sleeve in the back to be able to zip it closed

Rugged Value and functionality
If this bag was sold at the store it would be flying off the shelves. That is my only con on the bag. Why does HD have many of their better products only available on line? Seriously... Management, you should think about that one. The other thing that I thought to be a con and turned out not to be one is the lack of a hip strap to theoretically take off some of the load off the shoulders. Yes, it might do that, however it would also make the bag feel more rigid and somewhat difficulty to gain access to your back pockets. I will parrot what has already been said. Yes, the bag is composed of Ballistic Nylon, heavy duty zippers loads of pockets and a rubber waterproof undercarriage that keeps the bag upright ready to serve up your arsenal. In fact the bag for its size is downright cavernous. I use it as my primary bag to transport my tools (roughly 35 pounds) on my bicycle to various clients as a Tasker with TR. Everything I need easily sits in the bag within loads of organized space. Yes, maybe the bag is slightly heavy when empty (If you're a wimp! ~'Warriors'1979) but that also means this bag is going to have a solid nine lives and ('Die Hard' 2 ~ 1990). I can't say that J. Remar & B Willis endorse this bag, but the characters they played in the above films most certainly would. Long and short of it, if you buy this bag I'll wager you will not be disappointed.

Just got the bag yesterday. Initial impressions are pretty rugged and good value for the money over the Milwaukee backpacks. I still need to test fit everything I'm putting in here before I decide if I'm going to keep it. The max size laptop it will hold is 15.6

I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quality tool bag. The backpack style distributes the weight making it easy to carry. You can fit all your basic hand tools inside along with a hammer drill, impact driver and sawzall. The front has an expanding pouch witch makes it easy to put a larger tool in it as well to carry. Only thing I do not like is that is has a back compartment for a laptop which takes up space that they could of used for tools.

The Husky Pro Tool Backpack is a great way to organize your tools and get them where you need them if your work or hobby has you working away from your base of operations. This backpack comes with a myriad of pockets, loops and compartments to help you get organized. There is a hard case for your glasses, an inside pocket for your tablet or laptop, and many other ways to store and carry your tools. While this backpack is made for tools, to me it screamed "fishing" I found that this is perfect for those fishing trips of walking down the beach to go surf fishing. The hard, waterproof bottom makes it ideal for setting in the sand and not falling over.

Great for tools, great for college, too! It’s a large backpack that easily fit all my son’s engineering school supplies. The hard rubber bottom allows the backpack to be free-standing and the zippers going all the way down to the bottom makes it easy to open and sort through. Numerous loops and interior pockets are perfect for tools, but also good for laptop accessories and multi-use tools. The small front pocket is somewhat hardened, which makes it good for any delicate electronics: my wireless mouse for example. The first picture shows a tape measure clip which makes it somewhat hard to put a large water bottle in the pocket below, but the other side does not have this issue. The back pocket has a pouch perfect for a laptop. Finally, the space in front of that pouch has a false bottom with holes leading to the pocket in front: this may help for cord management, headphones, or tools with a battery charger. It’s certainly rugged, spacious for a variety of uses, and well-designed!

This backpack is rugged and comfortable to carry. I like its versatility. It has pouches and clips that are accessible while closed. See photo 1. One external pouch can be sized to carry another tote; like the molded plastic socket set case which is one of my "go-to" standbys. The upper hard shell pouch looks like an ideal place for eyewear or delicate optics. The backpack also stands up of its own accord - and has a moisture-resistant bottom. (Which is seriously scuff-resistant.) The interior accommodates both small and large hand tools, See photo 2. Several layers of pouches expand to receive the grips of various hand tools. There are many loops and zippers to help organize your payload. And the bag is commodious enough to let you pack sensitive equipment with its own protective cases. Slim things like manuals and paperwork were not overlooked in the backpack design. See photo 3. It has the features required for carrying comfortably (See photo 4.) and standing upright in the workplace. See photo 5. All the bag construction is of a tough synthetic fabric with multiple stitching. Zippers are heavy duty - as appropriate to their size. (This is a recurrent Husky theme which I appreciate.) And double zipper pulls - as with travel luggage - makes their operation much easier. This has become my all-around "troubleshooter bag." If I'm visiting a job site to note progress, it carries my extra clothes, rain gear, lunch and notes. If I'm inspecting and estimating, there will be some tapes, rangefinders, camera, et cetera. When I'm doing facilities maintenance, or volunteer repairs at the church, or helping my kids with new homeowner issues, it will contain assorted hand tools like it does today. See photo 6. So this backpack has a lot of uses that it does well. And, judging from the manner in which it is constructed, it will do so for a long time.

Great looking backpack. The zipper pulls are amazing. I got this for my son to use. He does alot of networking for a living and he said it will be perfect for all of his networking gear, plus his laptop. It looks and feels like it would take a gun shot even thought I know it wouldn't. I know it will last a long time just like the rest of our Husky bags.

Another "Husky" hit!!! This backpack is made very well. Has a waterproof bottom and made with water resistant material in black with red trim. Has a spot for a laptop computer, a place to put glasses, Lockable (lock not included), and inside compartment to organize tools or what not as well as outside compartments... Has strong zipper action and clips. Back straps are cushioned and adjustable. This backpack will be used by my daughter for school and when she saw it, she was really happy. She said, "Dad, this is cool. Where did you get it? Thank you!" So kudos Home Depot for making my daughter very happy! (Reasonably priced fyi)

First of all, you can't go wrong with anything in the Husky brand product line. I have a lot of Husky products and have never been disappointed in any of them; this is another great product, one which nicely fills a gap in tool-carrying solutions. I would describe it as a tool bag in the form of a backpack. The weight of the empty bag alone tells you it's a quality item. The fabric is heavy-duty and water resistant, and it has more pockets than I would ever need ...pockets in thoughtful shapes and sizes. I was especially impressed by the hard pocket to protect glasses or a cell phone and the padded compartment for a tablet or laptop. Finally, the base is made of heavy molded plastic, so you could even put it down in a damp spot and not worry about the contents getting damaged. A really well-designed and well-made bag.
