While the 27 ft × 2 in Heavy-Duty Ratchet Tie-Down Strap is rated for cargo securing, it is not designed or certified for lifting or hoisting people or fixtures overhead. Using it to raise a 350 lb light fixture from the attic could be unsafe, because ratchet straps are not rated for vertical lifting and could fail due to load angle, dynamic forces, or improper attachment. For lifting the fixture, please use lifting-rated hardware such as a chain hoist, winch, or a load-rated pulley system that is certified for overhead lifting.
We don’t offer a warranty, but you can request a refund through The Home Depot’s policy. Additionally, we will compensate for any losses caused by manufacturing defects.
You can only wind about 1.5-2 feet of strap before the spindle is full.
Please use web slings for lifting.
It say 3,333lbs
Thanks for letting us know. Please check that the strap is threaded correctly and the ratchet handle fully closed. If it still won’t lock, contact us and we’ll help or arrange a replacement.
Don't know about warranty. Possible it was described on the packaging. Good product.
it doesn't matter theirs a warranty they last 10 to 15 years for me
Ya as long as your boat don’t weight more than 3,300 lbs but you will only be able lift few inches at a time and re-adjust the strap cause it can only roll some much up before it won’t ratchet no more. Get a come a long…
No. The ratchet only takes up a few inches. This is a tie-down, not a cable puller.
Please note that ratchet tie down is not designed for lifting and it may leave color on the attaching surface.
