Will it cut vinyl flooring?
This knife will cut vinyl flooring, but the there are specific blades used for vinyl flooring. Look online at Homedepot.com for sku 1001615223. A 10pk. is $4.97. Hope this helps!!

SKU 100032776 Husky Retractable Auto-Load Utility knife comes with 3 blades in the storage compartment. All 3 blades can be moved to the front cutting chamber to utilize the auto-load capability, and you can put 3 more blades in the storage compartment. So a total of 6 blades can be in the knife at one time, but only 3 can be put into the auto-load feature. Hope this helps!!

This knife comes with three blades. One ready to cut, and two in the storage compartment. You could probably put one or two more in there.
How secure does this hold the blade (i.e. how much "wobble" is there)? I own the basic, high-visibility Stanley knife (metal that requires a screwdriver to make blade changes) and the single biggest drawback is the amount of blade wobble... it works fine, don't get me wrong, but the blade has more play than I'd like in a precision tool.
It did not wobble for me, it Is very secure it’s well-made and the knife is easy to handle it also has a safety feature so the blade does not cut you

There is little to no wobble with this blade. there is a spring and a flat pc of steel that holds the blades firmly against the back of the knife, I have used my knife for over a year cutting and breaking down shipping boxes with no failures to date. Hope this helps!!

Will this knife cut, not just score, Lexon polycarbonate (the type with the channels)?
This knife will just score Lexan. Best to try a rotary blade to cut Lexan, such as a Dremel tool.
What is the Auto-Loading part of the Utility Knife, how does it work? From customer pictures, I see a place for storage (correct me if Im wrong) of a max of 3 blades with a U-shaped wire loop holding them, but I don't understand how the Auto-Loading works or what the details of loading the mechanism with blades is.
After discarding the old blade, retract the blade slide with thumb and another blade will load. when you open again a new blade will be in place. Make sure you load the storage compartment so you always have a new blade ready.
hold down the little red button and you can take out the blade one AND reverse it an put it back OR throw the used blade away AND retract and the new blades loads and extend. it works great. The steps; remove used blade, retract knife, extend new blade. very simple.
How many retractable locking positions are there for the blade in this utility knife? I have a cheap harbor freight one that retracts to full out, half, corner (for like cardboard) and all the way in.
i just looked at it for you. it has the same locking positions as the one you have. Open (~1" of blade showing), half (~1/2" of the blade showing), corner (~1/4" of the blade showing for like cardboard) and all the way in. Hope this helps!
