A: Dexter, These sockets are designed for use on rounded hex bolts, not screws and studs. I do not believe these will work for your application. It sounds like you are already using a screw extractor, that would be the best tool for the job.

A: I wouldn?t worry about it, they slip more than bite. They?re 3/8? drive if I remember correctly but I don?t believe they?re impact rated. I?d be very surprised if you crack a socket, they just didn?t bite well enough to convince me of that
