Ratcheting Metric Combination Wrench Set (11-Piece)

I am going to start with all the positives. The size of this kit is big, it was enough to remove a transmission without having to lose my mind for not having the right tool. Whenever I had a difficult fastener to remove, the ratcheting wrenches came in clutch. The set is so amazing it is part of my house tour. I don't have enough space to list the negatives, but they do not pertain to the quality and function of the wrenches themselves, and Home Depot will make returns with no questions asked.

Been a long time since I got a new set of wrenches. I've considered adding some of the ratcheting type for quite awhile. The chrome finish is flawless, and the tools feel solid in the hand. The ratchet mechanism has very little play or take up, and clicks are precise. This set includes a wide range of sizes and even includes sae and metric stubby's

With this set I always have the right size wrench for every job whether it is English or metric. The ratchet only needs 5 degrees of swing without adding any noticeable bulk to the box end. With the included 14 stubby wrenches, and the open end of the wrenches for locations where you cannot fit the box end up over the bolt this set can be used almost anywhere! Just flip the wrench over to switch from tightening to loosening. I now use these in many places where I would normally reach for a socket wrench, and many places where a socket won’t work. For example, I just had to move my weather station which is mounted using very long U-bolts with nylon locknuts. The bolts are too long for my socket, but my new ratcheting box-end wrench was a joy to use. I included some photos comparing these wrenches to a 30-year old Craftsman wrench. The size is pretty similar. The socket end is angled on my old wrenches and straight on my new Husky wrenches (to facilitate flipping it over to tighten/loosen), but I haven’t run into a situation where I miss that tilt. I guess I rarely find nuts in the middle of an expansive flat surface. One thing I have noticed (unexpectedly) is that my old set has some added bulk in the middle that frames the brand name. That bulky center makes those wrenches a little more comfortable to hold. However, my new Husky wrenches definitely get the job done with a lot less strain and fewer smashed knuckles. I really like the ratchet action! Another thing I noticed is the little arrow on the big wrenches makes it easy to find the correct orientation of the box end for loosening or tightening. There are no arrows on the stubby wrenches. I haven’t used the stubby wrenches very much, but I think they might act a little like an old USB plug -- insert, rotate, flip-over, and insert again. Laid out for easy access, this set of wrenches will fill a couple of drawers in most toolboxes or cover several square feet of your pegboard or slatwall (see photos). We have a slender, 26” wide rolling tool chest so I had to find a new home for these wrenches. My husband was able to fit all of them in the lower drawer of the 52” Husky rolling workbench in our Hobby Room, and the old set is still in the tool chest in our garage for now. Somehow, I think the new ratcheting wrenches will still see more action!. The set includes 16 SAE and 18 metric ratcheting wrenches and 7 SAE and 7 metric stubby ratcheting wrenches . However, it doesn’t mention the weight of each wrench. The big 1.25” wrench weighs 2 pounds! The 30mm is 1 lb 12 oz. Either would be a good wrench to keep under your bed for use as a weapon against unexpected intruders. Whereas, the little ¼” wrench weighs just 1 oz! I am very happy with this set -- and now I am thinking about purchasing a large, Husky, 52” or 56”, mobile tool chests with work top for the garage -- the ones with 36” wide drawers.

Let me start off by saying that you who do not know that Husky is a quality tool with a life time unbeatable warranty, if for any reason tool stops working or breaks take the tool back to Home Depot and they will give you a replacement no questions asked. This is a quality set that has an open end on one side and a closed end ratcheting end on the other. This set contains metric as well as inches twenty four each. You can pass this tool set along to your son or daughter and the warranty continues forever.

Husky is a hard working company that knows exactly what we want! I enjoy this set because it gives me plenty of options to choose from. You can use these in tight spots to easy to get to spots. The best part is that you get what you pay for. No add on fancy bag or case. These are going straight onto my wall in my garage. The markings are easy to read and they are engraved so that with any wear you can still see the size of wrench. Overall, Husky again delivers a straight forward winner that doesn't break the bank. RECOMMENDED!

Complete set of high quality wrenches in sae and metric. Long wrenches and a few stubby wrenches for any job whether lots of room or tight spaces. 90 tooth ratchet end making it easy to catch another tooth for tightening or loosening . Open end fits snug on nuts and bolts to help prevent stripping the heads. Nice chrome finish for easy cleaning. Sizes marked on each wrench to help choose the right size.

If you are looking for a complete set of both SAE and metric ratcheting wrenches this is the set for you. The set comes with 16 ratcheting wrenches in SAE sizes ranging from 1/4 inche up through 1 1/4 inch. Also included are a set of 7 stubby SAE wrenches ranging from 3/8 inch to 3/4 inch. For metric sizes there are 18 ratcheting wrenches ranging from 8mm up through 30mm, as well as 7 stubby wrenches ranging from 10mm through 18mm. What I really like about this set is the ratcheting end features 72 teeth and 5 degree of arm swing for near instant engagement which is really helpful in tight clearance situations. The ratchet is unidirectional so flipping the wrench over will dictate its directional useage. The polished chrome plating appears to be really nice quality and the steel is rated A2 for hardness meaning the wrenches should last longer and retain their edge. Based on the number of included wrenches this would be a wonderful set for rolling tool chests since the entire set is quite heavy and robust weighing near 25 pounds for the set.

This set consists of,(see photos), SAE and Metric box end by open end wrenches ! 23 SAEs range from 5/16" up to 1-1/4" in 7 Stubby and 16 Standard length ! 25 Metrics range from 9mm up to 30mm in 7 Stubby and 18 Standard length ! The 0 degree angle of the Ratcheting end makes it work equally in both directions ! The finish of these and the 72 tooth ratchet should last a lifetime with care. A BIG plus on these is that, where the size is stamped, is an arrow as to which direction that the wrench is turning, on or off torqueing !! A great set for an amazing price !

The HUSKY BUILD-A-SET STANDARD AND STUBBY RATCHETING WRENCHES (48-PIECES) is a great set and covers all the sizes commonly used. I really like the ratcheting feature of the wrenches. You can work almost anywhere with them and the stubby ones are a great help in close and small areas. The sizes are printed boldly on the wrenches and easy to find. I would recommend them to anyone.

I chose this Husky Ratchet-Wrench Set for the variety of wrenches that comes with it. Rather you be an every day mechanic, or plan to just have in your work shop for needed use here and there, or be a beginner of collecting tools, or even replacing your current wrenches, I recommend that you check out this set. It is very convenient for a quick fix, to a large job. If you work, or plan to work on things yourself, you’ll have times that you just don’t have enough room for a regular wrench, or even to get a ratchet and socket into. That’s where the stubby wrenches come to the rescue, as shown in one of my photos. Just be aware that this isn’t a totally complete set, as sizes are missing between some, but again, for the value, and selection of wrenches that comes in this set, is well worth the value. Made of quality material and does the job the same as high end tools, without breaking the bank.
