The InSinkErator Evolution Series Quiet Collar Sink Baffle reduces the sound your disposer makes while it's working and prevents food and water from splashing upward. The antimicrobial feature of the baffle helps to inhibit the growth of odor-causing bacteria.

Different than Original
I've got an evolution series and love it. The original baffle is noticeably thicker and the design is a little more restrictive than the 2022 replacement. The new design has thinner rubber and presumably will allow food to pass through more easily. It does not fit as snug into the metal ring. It also seems a little louder. After using the previous baffle for several years I've grown accustomed to pushing food down which is actually quite nice since the previous baffle prevented objects like spoons from accidentally falling into the disposal. This replacement baffle seems like it was designed to allow things to pass through more easily. If I had a choice I would choose an identical replacement.

These aren't the same as the original
I don't understand how a company that makes such an amazing garbage disposal can make such a garbage replacement baffle. The original baffle lasted several years that came with the disposal. But when it finally became so worn, I replaced it with an insinkerator oem baffle, and had to every couple of months because they will not hold their shape. The top part of the baffle expands so much that creates huge wrinkles so the stopper can't be installed. And the spaces around the seal traps food and unless you constantly remove and clean, it can become quite foul smelling. I've gone through probably a half dozen of these and am getting ready to try an off brand replacement. These are not the same quality as the ones that come with the disposal, so hang on to the original one as long as possible, because you won't ever get another one like it to replace it

Smelly Odor
The rubber stopper holds food on the underside. I’m constant having to pull it out and clean it. It smells so bad. Is there another version of the rubber stopper that does not catch the food?

Changed out my rusty drain and gunked up splash guard. Big difference in appearance. This thing looks great! And note most of the 'one star' bad negative reviews are from people that bought the wrong size splash guard. Not sure how they're reviewing the product when they made the mistake of buying the wrong one. It clearly says one disposals the splash guard works on in the packaging. It does what it's supposed to. It's a sink splash guard. Nothing crazy.

Has this problem finally been fixed been fixed?
I've experienced exactly the same no-drain problem with my InSinkErator for years. Yesterday I installed the baffle shown above, and it works perfectly.
I do notice there are other original-equipment parts out there with a different design and exactly the same name. Maybe the company has finally updated the part, or maybe it's just sloppy about ID'ing its baffles. The one I have is called a "Quiet Collar Sink Baffle." Its package describes the part as an "E606 Accessory" and as a "QCB-AM" (see attached scan). The baffle itself is made of thin and extremely flexible rubber (unlike the much more rigid previous baffle), and allows waste (and water) through easily, as it should.

Baffled by this baffle
The baffle that came with my disposal had some holes around the outer edge that facilitated air flow. It worked great. This replacement has no such air holes. As a result any water or food you put on it just sits there, forming a perfect seal on your drain. While one could argue that this makes it a "perfect" baffle, it's hardly a desirable feature in a sink drain. I'm baffled that anybody would think this is a product worth shipping to paying customers.

fit perfectly
Baffle was direct replacement and fit well. Saw other reviews about fit issues but this one worked fine for me and I've had no trouble pushing the food through the center. Picture included.
