            SImple, durable, and uncomplicated
I just installed this in our powder room to control an exhaust fan. We have the 60 minute version in a full bath that's been in service for at least 20 years without issue. I had considered other timer switches, and even smart switches, but I like how simple and straightforward this is - a quick twist to set the time is all it takes. These timers are old school and VERY well built.

These timer switches are handy for so many things. At work we installed them in the bathroom so the light wouldn't be left on, at home I put one on the exhaust fan in the bathroom so they wouldn't leave it running all day, I also use them for these little heaters I build using an infrared bulb, at work people would leave the electric heaters on overnight and several times we almost had a fire, At least with this we know unattended items wont burn the building down. Great for all sorts of projects and will handle up to 20 amps. Easily fits in a standard box to replace any light or fan switch

The timer cover plate was perfectly flawless. The only instruction sheet was in French – I believe but not a major problem. The diagrams are so good on the instruction sheet I was able to understand. In a way, it speaks volumes about the diagrams being easy to follow. I also fully understand mistakes can happen in packaging and it's not a perfect world. I could have gone on the computer or cell to pull up instructions in a heartbeat if needed. The great part is I was able to do it without. The sensor works phenomenal on (12) 15 wall LED bulbs. I love it! The timer wiring slips nicely into the side on top and bottom and the screws and securing plate hold the wire very firmly. The terminals are not in a position where they can contact another wire or fingers. A very creative design which I find as one of the best if not the best. The timer is in more of a rough setting in a cement block wall. Installed in a 1-7/8 x 2-¾ inch box, it fit like a glove. It slipped right in without force, which I was concerned about. The manufacturing tolerances of the timer are spot on. The timer is controlling a vent fan and works flawlessly and shuts off with precision.

The Intermatic SW15MK spring wound in-wall timer uses no electricity to operate the up to 15 minute timer. It will operate a device, such as a heater, exhaust fan, etc., that is up to 125 volts AC, rated at 20 amps. The in-wall design means that it is to be installed into a recessed wall switch box. Because of the depth of this switch timer at 1 1/4 inches, the switch box should be the deeper style to accommodate the wires and deep timer. The timer switch attaches to the switch box using 2 standard box screws (supplied) but the power line connects to two screws that are deep into the switch and through holes located on the side of the switch. The ground is achieved through the tabs that connect to a grounded switch box as there is no separate ground wire from the switch. The cover is plastic and is not screwed into the timer but is attached with a center nut under the timer indicator. This Intermatic device is Made in Tunisia.

The Intermatic 20 Amp 15-Minute Spring Wound In-Wall Timer - Silver, Gray/Plastic provides the perfect solution to a problem we have experienced in our new home. We have an outside security light that on the back wall of our house that is operated from the laundry/sewing room doorway. When our grandchildren visit, they turn the light on and forget to turn it off so it burns all night/ This 15 minute timer prevents that. The product is VERY easy to install, works flawlessly and is aesthetically acceptable. We heartily recommend this product for anyone who needs to have certainty of turning off a light or other equipment in a specified time.

It’s a solidly built manual ‘spring’ timer. Turn the dial clockwise, set it where you want and ‘tick, tick, tick’ it will wind down and turn off. This one is a little bit quieter than the one I had previously. That is nice for me as this bathroom is in the master bedroom suite It is large, so expect to use up all of the room that’s in the electrical box. It has a strip gauge on for the wires so you know how long to make it and comes with screws to tighten the connecting wires down. I did not use the plate that came with it as I put mine in a two gang box.

We needed a timer for the bathroom fan, so it does not keep going all day long when someone turns it on. This timer fit the bill perfectly. Its a simple switch/ circuit breaker, and so its very easy even for an amateur to install. Simply remove your old switch (after turning the power off), and insert the wires into this one. The timer is mechanical, and breaks the circuit when it gets to zero. Note that you cannot install this into a two gang switch, as the cover plate will not work. The mechanics of the timer and the switch feel solid, and I expect it to last for many years.

This Intermatic 20 AMP 15-minute spring wound in-wall timer in silver, gray/plastic finish, is a nice looking control unit. It is simple to use and install. It is perfect for places where you want to turn on a light etc. but don’t want to stay around or come back to turn it back off. You can pick any time length up to 15 minutes which gives you some flexibility in how long the item is on.

This is a great timer switch. It works with 120 volt or 277 volt. Frankly that means it is safe for any voltage 277 and down. I tested it for resistance with a reliable and tested meter. As expected, it tested wide open when off and nearly 0 ohmz when the timer was on. We are using this for an industrial atmosphere where the bath fan needs to be on a timer so it isn’t left on every weekend. It does fit in a standard switch box.

I am reviewing an Intermatic 20 Amp 15-minute spring would In-Wall timer. It is Silver and gray plastic. This timer is a single pole single throw energy saving timer that uses no electricity to operate. It works very much like a standard wall switch, it just goes off after 15 minutes or a lessor time if set to that time. This can install in a single or multi-gang box and is easy to install with it’s press on knob. Has a 125 Volt and 20 Amp capacity. Can also we used with 250 Volts and 10 Amp. also can be used with a 1 HP 125 volts motor or a 2 HP 250 Volt motor. Will work well as a hot tub timer. This timer is CFL and LED compatible. A wall plate is included. This is for indoor use and not rated for outdoors in the weather. I like seeing the dial pad has dash marks for each 30 seconds. We are installing this timer to control our bathroom exhaust fan that we use for removing humid air from the bathroom after we shower, this will be a money saver since we will not have to remember to turn this timer back off in 15 minutes.
