Fairly straightforward to install. Replaced an older Intermatic spring wound timer. I tested this one and it's right at 15 minutes. The knob is plastic, which was the part that broke on my older timer, so time will tell how long this holds up.

The good:
super straightforward to use, clear and simple, just remember to "turn past" the marked point on the dial. Mechanical, so there's no chance of flickering or compatibility issues no matter the type of load controlled. No white or ground wire required for install in older buildings. No energy use when off.
The bad: I've had two, and both fail to turn off sometimes. I'll come back hours later, and the fan is still running. At the end of the cycle the spring in this device has to be strong enough to "click" the switch shut: sometimes it is not strong enough.
