          Super easy to replace seal
Super easy fix Our toilet was running and I replaced the float and that didn't work. I ordered the cannister valve assembly but after watching videos I thought it may be the seal. Kohler has a video on YouTube. Super easy assembly (like a minute). My old seal was shot.

Hi Baxter, this is Sarah with Kohler Co. I'm sorry to hear your toilet seal needed replacement. While there is no life span on the rubber parts inside of a toilet tank, it should seal well, under normal use. Here is a link to our help topic showing a few reasons why tank gaskets wear prematurely: https://rb.gy/nwxyb1. Please call our Customer Service team directly at 1-800-4KOHLER (M-F; 8am-5pm CST) for additional assistance. Sincerely, Sarah S. Kohler Customer Service

The installation is painless just couple minutes and you are done. After I changed the part i realized it made the flushing super easy. With the old one it was kind of difficult to press the flush leveler but now it is super easy and smooth. If you think this review was helpful, please don’t forget to vote. This seal was just what we needed to stop our Kohler toilet from constantly running. Our original seal was Orange, but this one was the same just a different color. Works like a charm!!

Our Kohler toilet stopped filling up after a Memorial Day party and I didn’t want to call a plumber and pay extra. I took off the cover and saw that the orange ring was worn and not allowing the water to fill up. I went to Home Depot after looking on YouTube for guidance and had our toilet fixed in less than 5 minutes!

These rings are too expensive and quickly develop bubbles to start a leak. The previous red / pink were even more poor quality. These yellow ones are supposed to be heavy duty but the rubber is poor quality. Disappointed in Kohler.

Though seal was not leaking, it was getting difficult to push the trip lever. Since I was going replace the center stem and cap I also got new seals. When I removed the old red seal it was sticky making it hard to push the lever. It was so deteriorated I'm sure the old seal would soon begin leaking. With the new yellow seal the lever works easily and I'm sure it averted an eventual leak.
