The fill valve bubbles up as if it's filling up the tank for a few seconds. I am going to buy the canister seal to see if there is an unnoticeable leak, now that Kohler has sent me a fill valve I replaced it but the bubbling is still happening.

                  Seal failed after 8 months
I replaced the original seal in May/24 which was orange in colour. I have now replaced the previous yellow one in Jan/25. I found the first yellow one appears to have blisters on the edge on both sides. Although replacement is simple the product should last more than 8 months.

Hello Ret6, this is Lisa with Kohler Co. I am sorry to read that your canister seal needed replacement after such a short time. This is not something you should expect to occur. The longevity of a part can be determined by water quality, usage or non-usage, if cleaners are being used in the toilet tank, etc. It is not recommended to use any cleaners inside of the toilet tank. We would like to look into this further with you to determine what had occurred and assist with a resolution. Please feel free to contact us at KohlerCustServ@Kohler.com. We are glad to help! Sincerely, Lisa A., Kohler Customer Service.
Used this on our Kohler toilet that kept running. I had reseated the existing seal several times, but it never seemed to stay in place for long. The old one was red, round and a little loose. This one is yellow, round, and a little tight. I installed it a week ago and success!

                    Super easy to replace seal
Super easy fix Our toilet was running and I replaced the float and that didn't work. I ordered the cannister valve assembly but after watching videos I thought it may be the seal. Kohler has a video on YouTube. Super easy assembly (like a minute). My old seal was shot.

Hi Baxter, this is Sarah with Kohler Co. I'm sorry to hear your toilet seal needed replacement. While there is no life span on the rubber parts inside of a toilet tank, it should seal well, under normal use. Here is a link to our help topic showing a few reasons why tank gaskets wear prematurely: https://rb.gy/nwxyb1. Please call our Customer Service team directly at 1-800-4KOHLER (M-F; 8am-5pm CST) for additional assistance. Sincerely, Sarah S. Kohler Customer Service

The installation is painless just couple minutes and you are done. After I changed the part i realized it made the flushing super easy. With the old one it was kind of difficult to press the flush leveler but now it is super easy and smooth. If you think this review was helpful, please don’t forget to vote. This seal was just what we needed to stop our Kohler toilet from constantly running. Our original seal was Orange, but this one was the same just a different color. Works like a charm!!

Our Kohler toilet stopped filling up after a Memorial Day party and I didn’t want to call a plumber and pay extra. I took off the cover and saw that the orange ring was worn and not allowing the water to fill up. I went to Home Depot after looking on YouTube for guidance and had our toilet fixed in less than 5 minutes!
