Garbage Disposal Adapter

The model disposal you purchased has our EZ connect mounting hardware, unfortunately that is not compatible with a square shaped drain. We do manufacture a disposal of similar spec with the traditional mounting hardware with mounting screws, the model KWD210-75MGR to be exact, this is compatible with the GDA-1 adapter to go into your new sink! A:  Hi DavidCA, Our round drain sinks do not require an adapter to use a disposal. Rather than connect a disposal to the drain, the disposal will replace the drain as it has its own flange and mounts directly to the sink.

A:  I don’t know. My disposal operates with a switch.

A:  That’s a good question. I don’t know because my unit has a switch. However, the removable, round-rubber sound baffle/gasket still fits into the disposer’s opening below the square. Hope that helps.

A:  No answer to this question, but you may have given me cause to get my plumber out to look at mine. It leaks occasionally. Thank you!

A:  I’m not sure. I had mine installed by a plumber too and never had a leak. Is there any visible damage to the adapter, if not you may have to Get a different plumber.

A:  I did not install this myself, but I don't think that the adapter was used. Did they try it without the adapter?

A:  I bought this one a year ago. I like the square shape. It’s good quality, heavy metal, looks nice in square shape. The only thing I don’t like is it’s clogg up water in the sink, I have to pull it up to drain water down. I can’t find a mesh strainer in square shape in the store (like the mesh one in round shape). I hope they will have it in square shape in the near future.

A:  Had no problem I install it myself plumber putty and worked like any round one does check close for any defects

A:  The adapter you described can only be installed in sinks with square drainage receivers. If your plumber installed in a normal sink with round drainage then leakeage may occur.
