    Strong and easy to use!
These are tough and very easy to use! Coated metal keeps from rotting and keeps them nice! Ratchet is coated for protection . I used on my truck with a load and it held in place perfectly! They also were easy to release once you unlocked it ! Work great for many purposes! I highly recommend this product for anyone needing to secure a load to keep it safe from falling out!

Convenient, sturdy, and easy to use!
The Keeper Adjustable Ratcheting Cargo Bar is a great product! It is sturdy and super easy to use. It works great to prevent items from moving or sliding around in the bed of my truck. It is much quicker and easier to use than cargo straps and it closes up small enough to fit in the trunk of my truck (the Honda Ridgeline has a trunk). The cargo bar works great to hold items against the front of the bed, but it also extends so that it is long enough to reach from the front of the bed to the tailgate to hold items against one side. I highly recommend the Keeper Adjustable Ratcheting Cargo Bar for anyone who has a pickup truck.

    Stops cargo from shifting.
I constantly have cargo or tool crates sliding forward during stops, sometimes causing damage in my construction Van. I thought the HD Extended Reach Ratcheting Cargo Bar from Keeper would be the ideal solution. The bar is basically a tube in tube design with a ratcheting mechanism gear that extends the inner tube and locks in place securing cargo from moving. The ends have hard rubber pads designed to grip and not mar the surfaces of your inner truck bed or van walls. The ratcheting mechanism drives a star wheel that engages within slots in the inner tube, driving and extending it to apply force against the walls of your vehicle. While operating the Ratcheting Cargo Bar from Keeper on my first attempt, I thought it would just loosen up because it appeared to retract slightly when locking down the handle. After actually applying it to the cargo area I had found that it holds nicely. The bar is a little stiff when retracting it back but I found it to get easier as I used it more. The bar operates in the range of 44” minimum up to 74” maximum making it useful crossways in the bed of a pickup truck. The range limited my use in the Van to only a few locations front and rear because of the shelving units installed. I would like to see if they make one with a smaller minimum to go from shelving to shelving about 36”.

Wish I knew about these sooner!
It serves its purpose. It’s not meant to hold any super heavy cargo in place. It’s more of a stop smaller light to mid weight items from sliding around in your truck bed. It takes a little getting used to and toying with to get it positioned the way you want. The more you use it, the faster you’ll get at it. Seems sturdy and make ok. I wouldn’t use it to secure anything super heavy or in awkward positions though. Note****if you have a insert type plastic bed liner, it will take figuring out what position works best to stay secure. Works great with the paint on style liners or without a liner and just bare metal. The securing ends are rubber feet devices.

    More uses than I thought
This keeper adjustable ratchet bar has more uses than I originally thought. I just came back from the Homedepot store after purchasing 4 downspouts for my gutters that are ten foot long and the bar place over them held in my short bed for a 10 mile ride. Then I bought a new washer and the bar kept it from moving in my truck. The ratchet bar will adjust tightly against the truck sidewalls tight so your items won't move. It doesn't matter how heavy the bar will hold. The rubber grips on each end hold quite well. The handle that you use to extend the bar ratchet is well made and each click you can feel the quality how well made it is. I definitely recommend these Keeper ratchet bars if you own a pickup truck or even a van that you move things with.

    Amazing ratchet cargo bar
I regularly carry a variety of cargo in the bed of my Ford F250 SuperDuty and securing the cargo is always a priority. There are times Rachel streams might be preferred, but this Keeper Adjustable Ratcheting Cargo Bar is a must have addition. This unit looks the part with its clean design and black/gray textured finish. The large end rubber grip pads have no problem gripping on to any part of your truck bed. The adjustability of the unit is amazing. The ratcheting mechanism to extend and retract the bar will be familiar to those who have used ratchet straps. Highly recommend this unit!

    Easy to adjust, saves time.
I like how easy this is to use for certain items vs straps; of course one cannot always be substituted for the other. Simply pull open and ratchet to the tension you need. I was surprised how much pressure it can put; will start stretching out the sides of your vehicle if you're not careful; do one click/tooth at a time. Nice grip pads on the ends to prevent slipping.

Easy and quick to set in place
At first, I was a bit confused by the instructions, but once I started working with the Keeper Adjustable Ratcheting Cargo Bar, it was rather simple to operate. The bar is rather stout and seems capable of safely holding back most cargo other than larger appliances. Mine is used for hauling garden supplies and plants, keeping them from sliding around. The rubber grip pads on each end make firm contact while yet protecting the bed. If your bed has a protective coating like my Honda Ridgeline does, then you have an even greater grip. The bar collapses down short enough to store inside the Ridgeline’s bed trunk.

    Versatile and strong
This Keeper ratcheting cargo bar seems to be the real deal. It’s sturdy and after a couple weeks in the bed of my outdoor-parked truck, there are no signs of rust. It holds strongly so should be able to keep nearly anything from sliding around. I particularly like the ratcheting mechanism to tighten against the sides of the bed - easy to adjust! It should be quite versatile too - anything from full-size truck beds to car trunks to SUV cargo areas.

Larger and stronger than other bars I have had in the past
I drive a truck with a full bed tool box and a variety of boxes, containers, bee hives, and miscellaneous tools on top of my tool box. I also have learned the hard way not to let things slide loose around the back of your truck. Having an adjustable stop bar is standard equipment for a truck as far as I am concerned. This bar is a larger diameter than I am used to seeing and has a solid ratchet system. I put it to use day one and liked it so much I went and got another one to keep things separated into controllable chunks. The bars haven't moved once since I put them in despite driving on rough roads and traveling a few thousand miles.
