Yes, Home Depot will ship to your address if you want. Home Depot does NOT give discounts for ordering more than 1 of anything, including dehumidifiers.
I've never gotten mine below 42% with it running constantly. I'm using it in the main living portion of my house (2600 sq. ft.). My A/C is set on 70%, and my windows and doors are all closed all of the time. The unit can be set as low as 35%, but I have never gotten mine to pull it below 42%.
No, it would not shut off, it would overflow.
I have mine in the main living area of my home as well. We put it in the dining room which is central to our living space, and it sits about 4 feet from the entrance to our bedroom. I don't think that you will be disappointed in the noise level. It might seem a little more than you'd like for the first 15 minutes, but then it will most likely blend into the background and you won't notice it much after that. I probably wouldn't put it close to my TV, but other than that I think you'd find it's not bad.
i don't know for sure but i would expect you should be just fine. once it is set up and running it will operate when there is power. there is also a timer setting on the dehumidifier that you can set.
in the instruction book it says the compressor, condenser and internal hoses are covered under the 5 year warranty.
You don't really "change" this filter, you just wipe it clean. Very simple. And it's from the top.
mine have energy star stickers on them.
Yes, in that humidity makes you feel both heat and cold more. I keep my thermostat (A/C) on 70 because I'm from Colorado and like my air cool and dry. But at night when the outside temp is close to the inside temp, and the A/C doesn't cycle to keep the air dry, even though it's still 70 degrees, it feels muggier and warmer. With the dehumidifier, the air still feels cool, dry and comfortable even though the A/C is not running.
If it's humid it will be no longer with this unit. I've had mine running for 3-years or better. It allows only 30% humidity before it achieves it's total duty. I have this in a 400 sq. Ft. area and have to empty the reservoir 4-times daily. It does offer the continuousness drain via attaching a garden hose. I'm sure I would pull even more humidity out if it were not inside. Kentucky's "Bluegrass" is because of this humidity. If it were not for this machine I could not breath this amphibious weather. Hope this helps.
