Hello. This model will have the same wiring harness plug. You would have to change out the bracket but changing out the bracket should only take a screwdriver and a ladder to change out.

I need to replace a Kidde Combo smoke/CO alarm model # KN-COSM-IBA from 2014 Jan. 24. What unit will work (hardwire with battery backup, interconnected)?
Hello. This is the I4618AC, the direct replacement with the same wiring harness plug and the same mounting bracket plate.
Hello. There is no direct replacement for your alarms. That being said, you can use any of our current alarms to replace your older alarms. You will have to take down all of the older alarms before putting up any new alarms. You will have to change out the mounting brackets at each location but that will just take a screwdriver to change out. You will either have to change out and rewire the wiring harness plugs at each location or you can choose to use the KA-F2 adaptors to adapt the old plugs to this model of alarms The adaptors would plug into the old plugs and the new alarms would plug into the adaptors. Note that the adaptors will not work with our new Detect line of smoke alarms. The model for the adaptor pack is the 21028461 which includes the KA-F2 and the KA-B2 for some of the older BRK/First Alert plugs.
