1 qt. Boiled Linseed Oil

A:  We recommend applying Boiled Linseed Oil to unfinished wood; however, the product can be applied over most fully dried wiping stains (stains that only change the wood color) which allows product to soak into the wood. It should not be applied over wood finish stains because the wood finish works as a protective coating/a barrier that sits on top of the wood and will not allow Boiled Linseed Oil to soak into the wood. Boiled Linseed Oil must be allowed to penetrate the surface of the wood in order to completely dry.

A:  Paul - Klean-Strip 1 qt. Boiled Linseed Oil can be used to develop the full warmth and richness of unfinished wood and increase its resistance to water-marks, scratches and warping. It should not be used for areas that will come in direct contact with food so cover the table while dining or do not eat any food that comes in contact with the surface. This product has added ingredients for faster drying. If the manufacture suggests raw linseed oil, that is a different product that we do not manufacture.
