Klein tools accessory for those that need it to carry tools that have a hang hole and just not enough room to fit the tool in your tool belt without it slipping out or falling when moving about. I found I still needed two hands to remove my tool from the snap rather than a one hand operation but that's okay since this is made securely carrying the tool.
This is heavy duty black colored leather with two rivets to hold the metal snap securely. The metal snap is not small, it is heavy duty size metal. The rivets on the backside is mushroom type which has great holding power of the leather together. See the pics.
Now the only thing I noticed is that it is heavy chrome metal. Not brass, but if it was brass it would be much much more expensive. So for the price and quality of this leather snap loop is a great deal and will still provide years of service for folks in the industry and for DIYers.
It is assembled in USA of imported and USA parts. And looking up the warranty on the Klein Tools website, it looks to fall under limited warranty for "Normal product life".

*I tried this snap loop on both a utility belt and a normal leather pants belt. It fit fine on the wider utility belt, but slid around quite a bit on the leather pants belt. The snap spring is tight, taking a good bit of effort to open it wide enough to remove tools. I found it easy enough to use with tools that had metal rings/holes, but tools with plastic rings/holes were difficult to remove as the spring dug into the plastic.

I used the three inch leather snap loop in a different way than it was intended. We just finished remodeling a 1939 Colonial on Galveston Island. The front door was installed with a dead bolt with a key entry on both sides of the door. We must use a key to lock the door from the inside as well as the outside and you cannot leave the inside key in the deadbolt.

The 3 inch leather snap loop is a simple, but valuable tool accessory. It is well made and durable, constructed of heavy weight leather and chromed steel. The loop is riveted, not just simply glued. The metal snap loop is large and should accommodate a variety of tools with hanging holes.
Although the color pictured is brown, the snap loop I received is black. Mine is also designed to fit a 4 inch wide belt, not just three, as described in the title. I give it 2 thumbs up!

Very heavy duty, all the way around. This snap is a great way to secure anything that you don't want to lose, especially if you are working at heights. Very rugged, very well built. So far, my only complaint is that I wish it included some sort of feature that would allow it to be attached/removed from a tool belt without having to remove the entire belt.

This is designed to carry tools. While it can be used for that, I like it for carrying keys. You just clip the key ring to the snap, put your belt through the loop, and there is no way you can lose your keys because they cannot fall off your belt. It is all solid construction. The leather is sturdy, it looks good and does the job. You can use this to carry just about anything that will clip to the snap.

This is an item I have needed for quite awhile and finally decided to get for myself. I picked this one because it is so well made and heavy duty, which will allow it to be used and abused, and still keep on going for me. It's like having an extra hand when you need one sometimes with it's ability to allow you to carry more tools and things, I'm completely satisfied with this snap loop so far

Handy & just right. I’ve tried carabiners and s-hooks on belt loops, but they didn’t quite work. This is designed to hang at a good height to reach down and easily grab the tools. Love the strength of the leather, and that the loop is big enough for a wide belt. If you don’t need to carry enough to warrant a full tool belt, one or two of these is a good option for certain types of tools.
