Q:Will this work on a multi-bit screwdriver? Will it also magnetize the shaft so that it holds the bits in more securely? Also, is the magnet strong enough that I need to worry about keeping it away from electronics and credit cards and things?

          Answer This Question

A:  Yes, it will work on a multi-bit screwdriver. It doesn’t magnetize the shaft to hold bits more securely. We recommend keeping magnets away from electronics and credit cards.

            Well built!
It’s pretty well built. I like it, I’m using it as a welders bag. All my tools fit well and it’s organized compared to a Klein bag.

Not enough room for HVAC contractor's tools
Pretty heavy backpack. Weights ~4.0; 4.5 lb. Looks durable and attractive. Wasn't able to fit all my tools into this back pack. Look at the picture attached. I still have my impact driver, drill bits and a couple of batteries....

              High Quality tool backpack
I have had many Klein tools over the years. All of them are made with high quality materials and a very adorable. I have also been a fan of their tool organization bags because of their high quality. This tool backpack is no exception it is very ruggedly built with large substantial zippers and handles. It is made of very thick woven canvas with a nice hard case pocket to protect my electronic tools as well as a hard plastic bottom shell. The inside has plenty of room to organize all of my hand tools tightly and neatly, yet because of the way the bag opens it is easy to see all the tools. It has nice wide padded straps that make carrying the tool bag easy from place to place. And as a bonus it comes with an outside clip for your tape measure as well as a magnetizing tool for your screwdrivers. Once again an excellent client product that I am proud to own.

Super Heavy Duty, There is no way your tools will puncture thru this Backpack
This is a true backpack made specfically to hold tools. The material used for construction of the bag itself is thick heavy duty. Any of my needle nose pliers or screwdrivers will not puncture thru this bag at all. Parts of the inside of the bag is like safety orange colored and I find that my tools are easier to see against that background, where my other wide mouth tool bag is black and I needed to use my small flashlight to find my tools. Here I don't really need to do that often with the backpack. The main compartment has double heay duty plastic zippers which I like, where there are many pockets and sleeves too. My nutdriver handles and slotted and philips screwdrivers fit well along with my two crescent wrenches as well as my pump pliers. See pic. The straps for the backpack are cushions as well as the back of the backpack so that you will not have a sticky wet back carrying it. Has a chest cross strap too. What I really like is the bottom of the backpack, it is hard plastic so when you put the backpack down it can stand up and not fall over, and your tools will not puncture or stretch the bottom. Also the plastic bottom it has like a two inch height lip edge all around, and definitely my big screwdrivers will not poke thru the bottom. There is also a hard compartment that is more than big enough at the top of the backpack that I can fit my mini clamp on meter inside of it too. The tag says its for safety glasses. But basically its really for any thing you have that you don't want it to get crushed. There is one thing I did note and it makes sense. The backpack bag will never replace your wide mouth tool bag. How do I know that, is because I can load up my widemouth tool bag to the brim and have the mouth still open, but my Backpack cannot carry the same amount of tools. So I would say the backpack is for if you have specific special tools you want to carry which are fewer than what I would for any situation tools in my wide mouth for any project (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.) That is the difference you should note. This comes with two pouches two and Klein Tools did not skimp here either. I use it to carry together my allen wrenches in one, and in the other my various electrical small parts connectors, rubber washers, shrink sleeves, and solder connectors. Overall its extremely well made for tradesman and it is not at all like a typical school back pack. This is made for tools in mind.

              Great backpack!
One of the best backpacks to organize tools in. It is so convenient then carrying around a box. The bottom is made with a hard material, that also helps it stand up. With slots and pockets, there is so much room that I basically put it all the tools I owned. The little keychain magnetizer and demagnetizer was a really nice touch. It also comes with pouches to carry little things around. This backpack definitely helps getting everything organized and allows you to easily carry it to wherever you need to go.

The Klein Tools Backpack Tool Kit, 4-Piece, Black Model # 80038
The Klein Tools Backpack Tool Kit, 4-Piece, Black Model # 80038 is a new product from the Klein Tools brand. It’s a very well made product with a lot of features. This backpack opens up nice and wide exposing 39 pockets for plenty of tool storage. I like the two interior covered pockets that let me store my wallet and cell phone. Included are two standalone Zipper Bags that I can use to carry small parts and commonly used hardware. The outside has a couple of small pockets with a lanyard to carry the included magnetizer. There’s a hard molded zipper pouch for keeping a pair of safety glasses and a zipper pouch to keep a memo pad that also displays the iconic Klein Tools logo. This is an ideal product for the Professional Tradesman.

Klein Tools 20 in. Backpack with Stand-Up Zipper Bags
My Review for Klein Tools 20 in. Backpack with Stand-Up Zipper Bags and Magnetizer, Black. This backpack is loaded with features. I love this thing. Seems weird but I really like the double handle on the top of the bag, instead of the single handle on the back, like most bags have. Helps keep the bag balanced while carrying it. There are two compartments on the front. The lower one has thick padding and the upper one has a hard outer shell, to keep your fragile items from getting crushed. I really like the heavy zipper and the way the bag opens to allow full access to the inside. There are a ton of ways to store tools in here. The two pouches that come with the backpack have gusseted bottoms, but to be honest, it is a pretty weak attempt. If you have something heavy in there, it might stand up. Once you fill up all the storage spots there isn't any more room to put anything else if you want to close the bag. The material is really heavy, and I like the sturdy bottom. I work a lot in the rain, and would have no problem setting this bag down outside.

              Another great Klein Product
For those interested in country of origin, this product was made in Bangladesh. Needed something where I could store the tools needed to execute light electrical and cellular cable work, have enough pockets to keep the tools visible, enough space to take whatever equipment I needed for a single job, something that looked good and would wear well from banging around. This was the product. And better yet it was from Klein, from whom I get most of my tools. Backpack has a sturdy base so the unit will stand up instead of flop around. The zippers let it open so wide that it is almost horizontal. Space for small packages in the base, as well as outside pockets. Comes with two independent pouches which can hold small objects and be attached to the outside. I was skeptical about the utility of the magnetizer, but it proved it worked. And I like the color contrast so you can easily see the tools.

This has to be the toughest tool bag money can buy
The thing that really stands out about this bag is the build quality. All the materials are top of the line. Clearly a lot of thought went into making it tough. The straps are easily the best made I have seen on any bag of any type bar none. They are very well padded and lined with a tacky rubber so they do not go sliding around on your shoulder. I love that. And then there are heavy pads on the bag surface that sits against your back. You’ll want that with it full. More makers should take notes on the strap design. The only thing I did not like about the straps was that the cross strap hits me at an awkward place (up high) but I don’t typically use those so no biggie to me. The bag even empty has a good deal of heft to it. And the rigid bottom is extremely sturdy and heavy duty. Once it is filled with tools the weight is a double edged thing because it is so heavy. But if you want something that will last forever this is it. I have a really well made Milwaukee backpack bag that I love and this is made a lot heavier duty that it and weighs at least 2 or 3 times as much to give an idea how heavy duty this is. And that other bag is no slouch. The tool compartments are to me a lot of small ones and then a number that are larger and not so much what I’d call medium. How well that works comes down to what works for what you carry. For the average electrical worker I’d say it is likely about ideal. I personally could have used a few more medium sized pouches to achieve perfection but it works well as is. But it is loaded with tool pouches and a few big enough to hold things like meters and a boroscope (I put my scope in the very heavily padded side pocket.) The outside top pouch is a pretty hard clamshell type affair good for any delicate instrument you may have that will fit. If I were to change anything I would make it a tiny bit thicker with a little more open space in the middle since things are tight when it is full of tools and you close it. But I imagine it may loosen up some with use. Overall you can’t go wrong with this bag and you won’t find better quality period. As long as the heft is OK with you and the compartments are the right fit for your tool arsenal this is a top of the line tool bag. Oh and the small bags are a very nice addition. I already had some of those I’ve had for years and they are a good size and hold up to daily use very well. I wanted to couple more of those and these fit the bill.

              Get organized!
Are you looking for a convenient way to carry you tools and keep organized. This back might just be what you need. With the hard flat bottom is stands up on its own . The many pouch has so may holders to store your screwdriver and pliers. There is a hard outer pouch where you can keep something that might be breakable like eyeglasses. It comes with a magnetizing/ demagnetizing tool. It also comes with two stand up bags that you could store hardware in , like nails,staples....etc. Did I say this thing was feature packed.
