do you have to twist/pressure in the direction you want as you hit with a hammer?
Asked by: lewis
No, you do not have to twist/pressure in the direction you want as you hit it with a hammer. Set the direction you wish to drive the screw by pushing in the bit and twisting, then place the driver on the stubborn screw and hit the back end with a hammer.

i'm trying to replace old deck boards on my porch but those old screw with the square heads i cant get them to budge would this solve my problem or what?
Asked by: bklynbob
I believe it will, if you have a square drive, it doesn't come with one, we tried taking a screw out of wood to see which direction it was set at, it backed it right out. Good Luck if you purchase this, it worked nicely on 6 out of 10 screws in a metal door. The rest were too rusted and cammed out.
