Product Overview

Great projects start with high-quality cuts, and you can make those cuts-more easily than you ever imagined-using your circular saw plus the Rip-Cut Circular Saw Edge Guide. The Kreg Rip-Cut turns your circular saw into a precision edge-guided cutting tool that makes straight, accurate, repeatable cuts in plywood, MDF, and other large sheets. With the Rip-Cut, you can cut w/ the confidence you want and the precision you need. The Rip-Cut easily makes straight, accurate, repeatable cuts without measuring, marking, or having to keep the saw on the cut line. The Rip-Cut does this with a long edge guide that follows the straight edge of the sheet you are cutting. So, all you have to do is lock the saw in at the measurement you want-up to 24"-using the built-in measuring scale, and then make your cut. With a built-in measuring scale, you don't have to measure and mark each cut, either. Just lock the saw sled at your desired cut width, and you're all set, whether you need to cut one piece or make multiple pieces of the exact same size. Plus, the Rip-Cut makes it easier to cut down large sheets by yourself and is very easy to use. Simply mount your saw to the universal sled-it accepts most left-blade or right-blade saws-and then slide the sled onto the aluminum rail. After a simple one-time calibration, you can lock in your cut width (up to 24") using the measuring scale and precision cursor. Then, just hold the edge guide against the edge of your sheet as you guide the saw.

Worth the money
I had to rip 4x8 sheets into sizes from 10" to 16"wide, this tool made much easier than trying to push a 4x8 through a table saw.

Perfect for me
I purchased this item to make a straight error free cut on my butcher block countertop l. I watched you tube videos for some tips prior to using. It worked perfect for me. I used a Ryobi circular saw. As you can see from the pics I am a diy.

Nice Alternative to a Table Saw
Makes nice, square cuts and rips with my Dewalt 6.5" cordless circular saw. It has a few negatives, but overall I'm glad I bought this instead of investing the money and space in a table saw. Pros: Fully adjustable, works with both left- and right-handed circular saws. Track is nice and square. Cons: The edge guide is plastic and mounted to the track using self-tapping screws, NOT nuts. Seems like the holes will wear out if you have to keep repositioning the edge guide because you're switching between left- and right- handed saws. Also, I couldn't get it to securely clamp to my saw's base plate. So I had to be careful to apply continuous pressure while cutting so the saw didn't move around.

      Awsome tool
As a DIYer who does not have a lot of room for wood working tools I look for Items like this to help make my projects easier. I had seen this advertised and watched some videos and was really impressed, but, unsure if it was really that simple and easy. I needed something to make some accurate cuts in a 4x8 piece of wood. I do not have a table saw and remembered this tool. I purchased it and set it up, was really easy, I then measured my cut of 12 inches and made 6 cuts in 2 boards so I would have 8 1X8 foot boards and it took me less time to do this then it did getting everything ready to do the job. I was amazed how each board is the same size and square like I did this on a table saw. My only regret is I did not purchase this sooner. The quality of this tool is very good and the ruler on the tool is very accurate and if you set the red line to where your blade is it will make it easier to make adjustments. `

        Works Smarter.
An acceptable solution for when work space doesn't accommodate moving large wood panels on a table saw.

Way better than a chalk like and a steady hand
I don't have a table saw and had a long countertop to rip. I've tried similar cuts with a DIY guide but never get the expected result. The install was easy, and I like that once you set it up you can easily remove and reattach the saw without having to "calibrate" it again. I've tried to make clean long cuts "free hand" but there are too many variables (walking along with the saw, sneezing, breathing) to mess it up. I'm surprised this tool doesn't cost more. I do wish the slide locking handle/mechanism was some kind of metal in lieu of plastic. Every time I lock it I feel like I'm breaking something.

            Fantastic for Ripping Multiple Boards!
I was cutting multiple edges off rough cut boards for shelves that i was making, cutting 12 x 2 boards, instead of spending a ton of time planing the boards and spending an arm and a leg on a table saw I bought this and had awesome results!

              Cheap and Unuseable
I am really disappointed with this product. Its a good idea, just very poorly executed. I have pretty much the same negative things as the other negative reviews say. I brought on a whim and could not return by the time I finally tried it. None of my 3 circular saws fit properly - they can't be clamped into the tool. The screws that "hold" the saw to the tool mount into flimsy cheap plastic and wouldn't hold up to continued use assuming that you have a saw that fits the clamping mechanism. Because you are clamping the saw to the whole tool, it is extremely awkward to clamp, use and not break after the cut. I will write this off to wasted money and hesitate before buying any more Kreg tools.
