Precision Router Table Setup Bars

A:  You can check out a YouTube video to see how these work. It may be rather wordy to give a text explanation. You can set the height of the blade or bit using the cutout section. Also easy to set the distance of the bit or blade from the fence by using the extrusion end. I wasn't exactly sure how these worked either but it becomes very obvious once you have them in front of you.

A:  On the Kreg website there is a video that shows how they work.

A:  You choose the bar that is the height that you want your router bit to stick out, and place it over the router bit. You can then raise/lower the router bit until it just barely touches the bar and you should then be at the correct height. They are very handy for getting the right settings, and I have found them to be very accurate.

A:  On any router table, on any table saw. Can be used for a lot of things.

A:  They will work on any router table including my homemade one. I used them yesterday and the set up is much quicker than trying to set up by a ruler and more accurate. This is the best router accessory I have purchased so far.
