The Luxpro XP916 is a great little flashlight. We live in the country and have animals and predators. With winter coming its getting darker earlier and the bears are looking to fill their bellies for a long winter snooze. So flashlights are important to us. In fact when my wife saw this I did not think I would be able to get it away from her to write this review. If you have bought Li-ion rechargeable flashlights before you know that anything decent can get expensive fast. This is a great flashlight that won't break the bank. In fact I like this so much I will order a few more so that each one has its own place, like the trucks and cars, chicken coop, front door etc. When was the last time you had to ask your significant other where he/she put the flashlight? When you need a flashlight you need it now - not tomorrow. This Luxpro xp916 comes with a non slip rubber grip that feels good in your hand. Its light enough to throw in a pack. At 800 lumens it is plenty bright and at full brightness it runs for over 3 hours. At lower brightness settings (there are 3 plus a strobe) it will last 18 hours. You can stand the flashlight on end to provide ambient lighting (in case you like to read by flashlight or if you need both hands free). Plus usb charging allows you to charge just about anywhere - so no more dead batteries. I had mixed feelings about the micro USB charging but since I am the only one in our house who uses USB C there are always plenty of charging cords around. The flashlight is weather resistant (IPX4) but not submersible. It even has a rotating dust cover that won't get lost yet provides protection for the charging port. There is a charge indicator light next to the charging port to display charging status. The flashlight comes with a lifetime warranty and I have yet to have any warranty issues with anything I ever purchased from The Home Depot. I have to give my new flashlight to my wife now so I will have to get one for myself. But seriously you will not be disappointed in this flashlight for the price.

I like flashlights I guess. I've got one in every car and one in every nook and cranny throughout the house. I've been doing this for 20 years or more. That's where this Luxpro pro series comes in. There are cheap flashlights that aren't worth the package they come in. I've found that these have LEDs that fail quickly or, have switches that soon go kaput. In any case, they really aren't worth it because they aren't durable or reliable. And, there are expensive flashlights that should last a lifetime but somehow, never do. Usually because the "lifetime guarantee not to leak" alkaline batteries actually do leak and destroy the flashlight. Of course, you never find out until the emergency moment you need the darn flashlight. Well, this Luxpro is in the middle price wise. And will probably last my lifetime. What more could I ask for? It's small enough for a glove box, drawer or inside the face frame on a cabinet. With 800 Lumens on full power, it's enough for walking in the dark, changing a tire in the dark or finding that leak under the kitchen sink...or the black widow that's waiting there to scare you. ;-) Plus you can turn down up to three notches when you want to be less conspicuous. It has a standard size, rechargeable, Li-ion battery inside. Much better than a Nimh double A - or a couple of them. Better yet, no need for a separate charger which would soon get lost with all the other chargers in the drawer. You can just plug in any micro-usb cable from any of your other devices and put the other end into any powered USB port. It also sports an IPX4 waterproof rating. This is evidenced by the o-ring seals for the head to body and lens to head connections. Drop it in a tide pool and you should be able to pull it out and keep going. A rubber grip means it don't slip. One nit though. It has a strobe function as so many modern flashlights do. What the heck does one do with this? I try it on the dogs and, they are unfazed. I try it on my wife and she just gets mad and tells me to knock it off. So, at best it just irritates others. Overall, it seems like a great piece at a fair price. I think I'm really going to like this Luxpro unit.

I am a flashlight freak and I absolutely love this Luxpro flashlight. It is incredibly well made, exceptionally bright to the point of blinding you and the strobe mode is a sweet bonus feature that could be used in a number of emergency situations The biggest plus is that it can be easily and simply recharged with the USB cord includedit feels very good and comfortable in your hand and is every bit as well made and powerful as some of my tactical flashlights. The battery charges life seems to be very good as well and it recharges fairly quickly. I’m quite happy and impressed with this flashlight.

The LUXPRO Pro Series 800 Lumens LED Rechargeable Flashlight with TackGrip in Black has certainly proven to me that every household and/or vehicle should have one of these. The light output is really incomparable and sufficient for most needs. It's not a wide beam nor is it really small which I like a lot. When turning it on (end of handle), it will come on high and then you click through to medium and low. You can also hold the power button to enter the strobe mode but since those give me sudden-onset headaches, I don't think I will be using that function much. I know the world is charging everything by USB but it would be nice for this old fogey if it was battery and USB chargeable. What if my USB cable is lost, in the house when I'm not, in the other vehicle, I don't have a USB port to plug into, etc.? Now I'm out of luck. If it's dead, I just can't change the batteries and be ready to go. Now I need to charge it, if, like I said, I have the capability to do so. Believe it or not, I keep a lot of batteries around but like I said, I'm an old fogey. I'll be interested to see how long a charge lasts with little to no use or in weather when kept in a vehicle. I haven't dropped it nor have I placed it in water so I can't vouch for those abilities but the charging was fast. And as it makes total sense, the higher the light output, the shorter the usage time. The rubber grip all around the handle of the flashlight means I should be able to hold onto it very easily. The beam was more than adequate - outside, inside, night time, darker areas. Super glad to see that the USB port can be covered with the rotating part of the handle - keeps dirt and debris out of it. Very smart person, whoever came up with that idea! With an integrated LED light (in other words, no bulb), I am concerned about the life span of the flashlight only because I know about integrated LED's but we'll see. Once it's dead, it's dead. But for its price, it's a very good value.

Oh so bright! This flashlight is a very handy size which makes it easy to put in a pocket for ready use. There is a low and high beam and there is also a strobe light feature which can disorient if needed. I like the fact that this is a rechargeable light, so no worry about always having a battery around that fits. And there is a red light on the flashlight that lets you know that it is charging which turns green when fully charged. This handy little gem is going to be with me for a while.

There’s a bunch of flashlights out there, all claiming this or that level of brightness. This one claims 800 lumens, I put it next to one that claims 1000 lumens… to my uncalibrated eye they’re both really bright! The difference is that the 1000 lumen one is 3 times the size and probably 3 times heavier. This is a great form factor to keep in your vehicle. It is sturdily made, is rechargeable via micro USB (it would have been better if it were the newer USB C but still good), generally water resistant (IPX4) has good battery life. This flashlight has earned a coveted spot in the center console of my vehicle!

Great big light from this little rechargeable flashlight! This is my first rechargeable, and other than having another charging cord to label, I like this feature as it results in a lighter weight than alkaline batteries would. My main need for a flashlight is for nightly walks with the dog. Our area is known to have lurking coyotes, and coyotes apparently do not like light. This little flashlight is perfect for juggling multiple objects in hand, since it is so lightweight and easy to hold. The diameter of the beam was surprising large on "high". It also has a really long distance of light thrown. There is also a "hidden" strobe feature, you hold the button down for 3 seconds to get to this mode. This will come into play if I do, in fact, encounter a coyote.

Small but powerful, this 800 lumen rechargeable LED has a beam that shines in three modes. On low mode, the flashlight charge can reportedly last 18 hours. This would be enough light to read a book in your tent, for example, on a camping trip. The more powerful high beam will last about 3 hours, and is labeled to shine 350 m. I shone the high beam in my back yard, and could clearly see the neighbor's house about 30 feet away and the play set in the yard 30-40 feet away. Beyond that, I am not sure how well the flashlight would work. The rugged rubberized case is supposed to survive a drop of 1 m, although I have not tested that. There is a strobe feature which might be useful in signaling others. One feature I do like a lot is the charging port - it has a rotating cover to keep the micro USB port clean and free of debris. This is especially useful for an item like this flashlight, which I could see going in the car on a long trip and possibly getting food debris stuck in the crevices. Overall, this is a solid flashlight with some nice features.

This review is for the LuxPro 800 Lumens rechargeable flash light in black. This flashlight has a good size and weight, and is made from aircraft grade aluminum that is supposed to withstand drops of 1 meter or less. That sounds ok, but 1 meter is roughly 3 feet, and I can see it being dropped from higher than 1 meter. It is a sealed waterproof flash light, so I'm guessing multiple drops from more than 3 foot would break that water tight seal. Just wanted to call that out. Since it's a good size and weight, and comes wrapped in a good textured rubber grip, hopefully I won't be dropping this flashlight too often. The features of this flashlight include, 1. being sealed and containing a rechargeable lithium ion battery, 2. Being able to adjust the amount of light that is produced (high, medium, and low), 3. The strobe light feature for emergencies, and 4. The light itself is an integrated LED circuit, so it should easily be able to handle being dropped from more than 1 meter, and should last a lifetime. I got this flash light for walking our new puppy after dark. Like many families, we got a dog shortly after the COVID-19 restrictions started being lifted in June, and now that it's fall, our morning and night time walks are all in the dark. I had other small aluminum flash lights that worked fine for about a month, then wouldn't light up at all anymore. I tried changing the batteries in them, but something must be corroding in the contacts, because I have to shake, jiggle, and smack them to get them to work at all. Since this flash light has a built in rechargeable battery, I'm hoping it'll work for more than a month. Especially for the price.

The Luxpro XP916 is not submersible. But that is about the only negative I can muster for it. It has the power and simplicity to make that shortcoming easy to live with. Sure, there are other flashlights with bigger batteries and more lumen power but the XP916 has it's nitch. I like the rubberized handle a lot. It feels good and makes the flashlight easy to carry. Be sure to see my video review for the details.
