The Legrand Wiremold 700 series raceway is ideal for surface mounting small amounts of electrical wiring or communication cables. Surface metal raceway allows you to add fixtures and outlets without disturbing the drywall, plaster or insulation in your home. It is also ideal for adding wire when you can't go into the wall, such as on concrete foundations or brick walls. Q:Is raceway ok to run wires on surface wall of a garage ? Project is to run wires for home based small wood working shop - to run miter saw, table saw, drill press, etc.

    Q:I want to run 14/2 NM inside 700 series wiremold up the wall from a surface mount wall switch, then poke thru the ceiling drywall into the attic and continue the circuit without the wiremold to the destination. Do I need to an end fitting on the wiremold

    A:  No, an end fitting is not needed.

      A:  Hello Camdo, When electrical wiring is used, this raceway is designed and approved to conceal THHN and THWN type wiring. At the entry and exit points of the raceway, a 5790B armored cable connector should be used. Please call us direct with any additional installation questions. We can be reached by dialing 1-844-957-3783. From the main menu select option 2 for Wiremold followed by option 2 for Technical Support. Thank you!

              A:  Hello, Support clips are not supplied with the straight sections of raceway. They include a coupling to join two sections together, but not the support clip. There are two methods to support it, one being part number 704WH for an over the top strap, or the 5703WH for a behind the track clip.

                A:  No, we do not have additional colors available, but this can be painted. Spray paint works great for a quick, durable, minimal-prep coverage.

                  A:  Thanks for your question. The manufacturer only makes this product in Ivory and White colors. If you want a different color, one option is to use a spray enamel (before installation) such as Rustoleum.

                  I have used this raceway before, it is metal and very strong. The don't make all of the fittings I could have use, like transitioning from a ceiling to along the top of the wall. I had to do some cutting and fitting to get things to work. It is much more durable than plastic but you have to cut everything with a hack saw, as expected. They would use some more variations in the the elbows, etc.

                  This has a loose inner rail that inhibits how you use it. Badly thought out. The inner rail collides with the flanges that attach it to the wall box and you have to fight with it to force it over the flange. Whose bad idea was this. Plus, for each 5ft piece you have to additionally purchase the mounting kit that doubles the cost.
