Decora Smart Wi-Fi Mini Plug-In Single Outlet Works with Alexa, Google Assistant and Nest, White

These Leviton Wi-Fi plugs are easy to set up and very reliable. Setup takes only a couple minutes per plug and all but one of the seven we installed for inside Christmas lights went through the set up process without issue (one failed the install and needed to be reset using a simple reset sequence - it set up fine on the 2nd attempt). The plug has 3 prongs and is polarized, unlike some other WiFi plugs, making it very flexible in supporting most typical loads. The operation of these has been extremely reliable. We have many areas in our house that get Christmas decorations and these provide the easiest and best way to control them both individually and in groups. The My Leviton app is good, but these are also compatible with the major Voice Assistants. We use Amazon Echos with Alexa and with an easily set up Routine, we can turn them all on and turn them all off. The Leviton plugs are also set up on IFTTT so we have a scene set up that turns on all the Christmas lights as soon as we get near our home. Any scene can be set up and between the Voice Assistants and IFTTT, it's really easy to automate the house. No need to rewire outlets with these easy to install plugs and you can place them anywhere, renaming them as appropriate as well. We label these so when we take take our our lights and re-purpose the plugs, we know which ones belong to the many phone application device labels. These plugs totally take the hassle out of managing room scenes and combined with other Wi-Fi switches are limited really to just what our imaginations can come up with. we're really pleased with these and highly recommend them.

We've got our fair share of smart things in our home. Lights, fans, thermostats, music. After poaching a switch last year to get our patio lights a little smarter I really wanted to get another for the Christmas Tree this year. Enter the Decora switch which has been pretty great so far. It's nice and small so doesn't impede the use of the other outlet. Setup was quick on my Android device it just took registering for an account. (not my favorite, but I get it) Next was getting Alexa to recognize the switch so we could voice control things. That was also quite easy to do and only took a few steps in the Alexa app. Overall very pleased, I wouldn't hesitate to get more of these in the future.

I like being able to turn the light on and off with my smart phone. But I really like the integration with Alexa. The Leviton app does take a bit of getting used to though. But once I got the hang of it, it works fine. I use Alexa most of the time, but there are times when Alexa is to far away and I need to use the app. The light on the side lets you know that the switch is off and the unit is on wifi. The light is also used to identify the device, which really helps if you have more than one device. The status light can be changed to always be off or on when the switch is on instead of off (using the app). I personally like the default. You can also setup schedules and group other devices/commands as an activity in the app.

The Wi-Fi outlet works great, the My Leviton app that goes with it needs a little work. I'm using this to control a space heater in my office and it has worked flawlessly so far. I only need it to run on weekdays during workday hours so this is working way better than the mechanical timer I was using before. The outlet came nicely packaged and included instructions for plugging in the outlet, downloading the app and connecting an appliance to the outlet. The only issue I ran into was during the setup within the app. There were a few times when I entered information for my home address during my Leviton account setup and also during the wi-fi setup and after entering the information, I was not able to navigate to the next step in the process. It took several attempts but I finally got everything configured and connected to my wi-fi network. I was able to add the outlet to Google Home without any problems and can control the outlet using the My Leviton app or Google Home. The plug glows steady green when connected to wi-fi and not turned on. When the outlet is turned on, the led on the outlet is not lit. There are options within the My Leviton app to set schedules for the outlet or you can simply turn the outlet on or off remotely using your phone. The plug is a tight fit, so you have to push just a bit to get the appliance plug into the outlet. If not for the few issues with using the app, I would have given this 5 stars.

Leviton Decora WIFI Smart Plug I love this plug! The Leviton Smart Plug came packaged in an easy to open package, not one of those dreaded bubble packs. The box contained the plug and instruction sheet. The plug is designed so that when it’s plugged in it does not block the second plug of a duplex receptacle. I plugged it into a wall receptacle and then went to myleviton.com and clicked on the link to install the app from the Play Store. I opened the app and followed the instructions to register for an account, next I added the device and network information, from there the app connected to my WIFI and the plug was ready to use. I plugged a lamp into it and using the app was able to turn the lamp on and off. I also setup a schedule within the app and the lamp turned on and off at the correct times. From the app you can also set a schedule based on dawn to dusk, very nice. Everything worked perfectly. The one thing that is different on this smart plug vs. others that I have is when the plug is on the indicator light is off, when the plug is off the indicator light is on. The indicator light is also a switch that can turn the plug on and off manually. This plug appears to be very well built, the connectors that plug into the wall are brass vs. my others which are chrome and even though the plug is physically smaller than some of my other plugs it weighs more. Next up was getting it working with Alexa. I went into Alexa via the Alexa app and added the Leviton Skill, after that I asked Alexa to Discover Devices, she then found and added my plug. Now I can simply say, Alexa, turn on the lamp or Alexa, turn off the lamp. This all worked perfectly. It is such a joy to to get a product that installs easily and works as advertised. It doesn't work on 5ghz router... I thought it did- some misleading reviews

This item had been discontinued, and I found it on the returns shelf, which means it was also used. Nevertheless, it was easy to set up, and works great! I would buy another one from The Home Depot, but alas ...
