great kayak
I just bought this and so glad I did there is room on it for myself and grandkids it's wide so it is very steady and the fact that I can mount a small motor , that's just awesome thanks for such a great product

Need to step it up a notch
Off balance design and only fits a couple of corny designs. Lifetime needs to step up their game with accessories for other models. Especially their fishing kayak line up. I like my Tamarack Pro but having no factory upgrade options probably puts me in a competitors boat next season. Some great upgradable yaks coming into the same price point area.

Kayak trolling motor kit
the unit works as described only chnage would be to some how lock from under neath and the ability to put the battery in the middle of the boat ot balance out

Easy to install. Not fantastic
This mount is expensive. It easy to put in place. It is sturdy. If you are going to use this you must purchase an auxiliary ratchet to keep the battery in place because the strap that comes with it is insufficient. The mount will change the weight distribution of your sport fisher or manta kayak. I flipped (in calm water) from standing up the the first time I used this mount and only saved my trolling motor and battery because it was ratcheted down. I'm going to explore options not to keep battery in the very back of the kayak attached to this mount
