AnswerIt is random..... there is a pre-programmed sequence that they follow. You cannot control or arrange.

AnswersNo they do not work with the Orchestra of lights. Just plug them in to any outlet and they do their thing. I try to get all my strings plugged into the same timer so they are all in sync with their programing.

These Lights Are Garbage... Do Not Buy Gemmy Products!!!
I bought three sets of these lights to run on my gutters and roof line. It’s been less than 30 days and two of the sets have already burned out and no longer work. Even if you change the fuses in the plug end they will still not work. Unfortunately, I threw away my receipt and boxes thinking I bought a reliable product. All my other LED Christmas lights have stood the test of time and are going on 8 years old. I can understand one set burning out on a fluke, but not two in less than 30 days from purchase date. I imagine it will only be a matter of time before the third set burns out. These lights will be going in the trash after the holidays and I will NEVER BUY A GEMMY PRODUCT AGAIN!!! Also I’m more upset at the fact that I paid almost $100 for poor quality.

Expensive lights won’t last one season
We bought 5 strings of the colormotion lights around Thanksgiving. 3 of the 5 strings did not last until New Years. Replacing the fuses did not make a difference. Very disappointed that Home Depot would carry lights that cost this much of such poor quality.

Not worth the money!
Bought 3 sets and put them along the gutters of the house right after Thanksgiving. A week before Christmas, one set had gone out. Replaced the fuses but no change. The day after Christmas, a second set went out. Replaced the fuses but no change again.
One out of three after a month is not good. I’m sure if I kept them up the next set would be out soon. Very disappointed in the poor quality of this product especially at $28.99 per set. These lights are absolute trash at any cost. Please avoid wasting your money!

Amazing! For a week. Then, they die
These lights are truly amazing and beautiful, Actually better than the pictures! Unfortunately, they don't last very long. I bought 8 strings 3 weeks ago, and now only 5 strings are left and those will probably be done in a week or so as they are getting dimmer. This is not a fuse problem, this is a problem with the functionality and design. Now, my house looks like it got attacked by the Grinch! Don't worry about the customer service number, it is only a place to process a return via email (you don't actually get to talk to a human). Much easier to handle through Home Depot. I have many Gemmy lights that have lasted years, just not these ones. Don't waste your money and time putting them up. They'll just be coming down in a few weeks.

Very Disappointed
I purchased 6 strings of these lights and hung them on my house. They were beautiful and I got several compliments. 10 days later 2 strings went out. I replaced the fuses and tried to fix them to no avail. Got on the roof for a second time and rearranged the remaining 4 strings. 3 days later 2 more strings are out. Taking them all back. Guess I get to decorate my house three times in 2020. Very frustrating and disappointing!

Don’t buy
I bought ten sets of these lights and put them all around the house. Two stopped working before the end of the season. Now we tried to use the others for a second year and only two still work. Don’t buy these if you want something that will last.

Was hoping to Love, don't last
I bought theses last year. 2 sets. went to use them for halloween and already 4-6 lights on each strand burned out. Sad they didn't even last a year. Was hoping to add more this year. Please do not buy if you want lights to last. they were nice when they did work right
