Questions & Answers

The torch doesn’t come on. I have flame adjuster in the middle between the + and -. Gets red hot; no flame.

Just purchased a day ago. Read and followed online filling instructions.
Asked by: Marion
Hi Marion, Thank you for sharing your question. Judging by your description of the problem, it would appear that you have the solder tip still screwed into the torch head. To use the precision flame feature of this Butane torch you need to unscrew the solder tip (pointed tip) from the torch, which will allow you to use the open flame of the torch. If this does not resolve your problem, then please contact out Customer Satisfaction line at (800) 969-3334, and they will send you a replacement torch at no cost. Faheem Schroeder

Mine is not working it’s full full of butane but it ain’t working I got The blue off and on switch open

Asked by: Andrew
Hi Andrew, Thank you for sharing your concern. Just to make sure you followed the correct steps to fill this torch with the Butane fuel, we would suggest the following procedure:The easiest way to fill the torch is to turn the torch upside down and insert the 5.6 oz Magtorch Butane cylinder into the nozzle. Apply firm downward pressure to the cylinder until the fuel shoots back which indicates it is full. Turn the torch right side up and allow the fuel to settle for a few minutes before igniting the torch, making sure the blue colored fuel adjuster is in the open position. To start you may want to adjust the +/- flame setting to the middle or all the way to the “-“. An extreme cold environment could also affect the torch. If near 0 Celsius, butane has a tougher time to achieve vapor state to ignite. If the torch still does not light, then it could be defective, and we suggest you call our Customer Satisfaction line at (800) 969-3334 and speak to Laurie who will send you a replacement torch at no cost. How do I put it together to make it work? I have returned 1 and bought another one and cannot get it to work either.

Asked by: Judi
Hi Judi, Thank you for bringing your concern to our attention. Not clear on what the problem was with this torch as there is no assembly required on this torch. If you are referring to moving from a soldering tip to a flame feature then all that is needed is to unscrew the tip, or unscrew the lock nut at the base of the silver shaft. If you are having problems filling this unit with Butane. then the easiest way is to turn the torch upside down and insert the 5.6 oz Magtorch Butane cylinder into the nozzle. Apply firm downward pressure to the cylinder until the fuel shoots back which indicates it is full. Allow the fuel to settle for a few minutes before igniting the torch.
