This 3-cup rice cooker is easy to use. The instructions are simple and straightforward. The product includes the cooker, a lid, the inner pot, a small food steamer with its own lid, a measuring cup/scoop, and a spoon for extracting the cooked rice (see photos). We only have so far tried cooking rice with the cooker so I cannot comment on the food steaming aspects. To cook rice, simply measure one scoop (half a cup of rice) for each cup of cooked rice desired. Add water using the same scoop to fill to the desired cooked rice line and press the Rice button. It is that simple. It takes about 30-45 minutes to cook the rice, depending on how much rice/water you are cooking. The cooker also features a delayed cook time aspect, but we have not yet tried that. When finished, the cooker will go into warm mode to keep your rice warm. Overall this is a good product. The only complaint I have is that the cord is far too short. Rice cookers have a vent for releasing the steam and we usually like to position the cooker near the sink so that the vent vents the steam over the sink versus getting the counter or kitchen walls wet with steamed rice drippings. This cooker's cord is so short you have to plug it into a wall outlet and keep it near the wall (see photo) versus positioning it anywhere else. I would have given this cooker 5 stars if the cord were longer. Being only a 3-cup cooker, this cooker is not designed for larger families. This is good for small families or single users.

he Magic Chef 3 Cup Rice Cooker is a marvelous addition to my kitchen! It is compact and easy to use. I can even take it traveling! And, it cooks even Brown Rice to perfection! It is easy to clean and maintain as well. So, if you are looking for a Rice Cooker for a single or a couple, this is the one for you! Oh, I forgot to mention that it comes with a warmer and you can put food into this dish and warm it up with steam!

The perfect sized rice cooker for great cooked rice , it’s very simple to operate it also comes with a measuring cup and small spatula to remove your rice with ease . The controls are very clear and numbers are bright red. The quality is very good with a strong hinge it has a stainless steel outer casing which gives it a more modern appeal it’s compact so it stores away in a cupboard.

This is a neat small rice cooker that is great for 1-3 people ( 1 cup of rice per person). You can steam your vegetables or fish in it ,in the compartment with a lid ,that fits on the top of the cooker. You can make pasta, Ramen noodles, etc. I like that it is versatile enough to be a great addition to any kitchen and doesn't take up much space. Great for dormitories or hotel rms. 7 1/2 ounces of vegetables ( half a 15.ounce can) can fit in the steamer. Rice was perfectly cooked, without any oil or butter, and doesn't stick to the pot. Spoon, steamer container, and measuring cup are included! Perfect gift for a college student. This is compact and if you are starting to watch your portions this rice cooker takes the guess work out of cooking for one person or 3.
