This saw stand is trash... Seriously. I bought it for my Makita 10" cordless saw, which I love. The stand arrived as expected, but was missing a couple bolts. Assembly was simple, but the poor machining quality made it difficult to get screws and bolts it. I like the concept of this stand, but the execution is just not there. All the weight of the saw and torque created from the rising motion is put on two welded studs about two inches long at the top of the spring mechanism. This bent first go and causes the two tubes inside the spring to not stay together and it fold over. One use... that was the lifespan of this stand. Took it back and got the Bosch. It's a much better design. Do not buy this stand, and if you do make some sort of gusset to support the studs.

I have 3 Makita miter saw sliders, I always had to make a stand of some sort when I moved them. I finally purchased the saw stand for my XSL08 12” 36 volt cordless, this saw is large. Once I mounted the saw, my first thought was why did I wait so long. Like all Makita equipment is is built solid. I can move it around and set up the extensions in minutes. I can transport saw anywhere now, with it being cordless its ready to go wherever I need.

Hard to assemble.
Although it had very few bolts to put together, not all the holes aligned as to where the bolt goes in smoothly. Had to rethread most bolts and do some adjustments. I also didn’t like the way it doesn’t have handles to maneuver it. I’m a big fan of Makita tools but honestly I think this stand is garbage. I returned it and went with the Bosch T4B. We’ll see how that goes.
