The Master Flow 10 in. Starting Collar is suitable for most HVAC applications. It provides a transition from a flat surface like a plenum (made from metal, ductboard or insulated) to round pipe or insulated flexible duct. It can be used with ductboard, an internally lined or unlined plenum. This galvanized steel starting collar features extra-long tabs to fit most duct board thicknesses.

Why are there holes punched in both sides??
It would have been a nice collar if the company didn't punch holes in both sides. It lookes like they use one collar as a regular and damper collar...... But the description doesn't say the holes are there. Now you have to seal the holes and hope they won't leak. I don't like the idea of the holes being there, and really if I wanted a damper collar I would have ordered one. The company should not put holes in the collars and Home Depot should describe this and show a real pic of it.

Size Issue
I like the ideal it's a starting collar with tabs for easy mounting but it does not fit with a 10" 90degree elbow. It's a real pain to cut and adjust the ridged edge of the collar to allow the elbow snug in nicely. It is my first attempt to do ductwork and still thankful Home Depot has the product.

Great price
This was a hard piece to find, no stores carried it. Not to many web sites carried this size either, and if they did, they wanted twice to five times as much plus shipping. We did have to wait about a week for it, which would have been true a other sites, but the price was right and NO SHIPPING.
