Questions & Answers

Can this be used to connect a bathroom exhaust fan with a 6 inch to a 4 inch insulated flex duct?

Can this be used to connect a bathroom exhaust fan with a 6 inch to a 4 inch insulated flex duct?
Asked by: Rico
It should. The flex duct end should fit directly, the fan end may need a collar or some bending. I’d attach them with HVAC rated aluminum tape and mastic or heavy duty zip ties and mastic for a long term seal.

Increaser or reducer???

Does the 6 inch end fit INSIDE a metal duct or does it fit around the outside of the metal duct? I want to use with a dryer vent, so it has to fit inside to reduce lint build-up.
