Will work well for both applications to provide a heat lag. I used it to wrap a/c ducts in my basement ceiling to prevent condensation. It was easy to handle and made a good installation using aluminum tape. I also used some sleeves of similar material to slip over pipes.
No need to overlap, I used aluminum tape to join seams
if you really want to stop the pinging from the duct work is to just turn off the furnace for good..no noise and everyone is happy..
Using the aluminum tape you can lay it over the top and tape the sides as far down to the bottom, this will help you quite a lot then blow in the other
the main reason ducts sweat is either the lack of or the wrong type of deodorant being used.. iwould suggest the spray on..
Yes, I used this to insulate the all of the metal ductwork and boots I my house. Make sure the duct is dry before applying and making sure to seal all seams with foil tape so that condensation does not continue to occur under the insulation.
yes wrap tight and use the duct tape to tape it at the end
This is for installation on new and existing duct-work. Call Master Flow Technical Services at 800-211-9612 for more information.
