Questions & Answers

Can this be used to secure water heaters

Example: I have looked at the manual and can't figure out what I did wrong.
Asked by: Jacket
I would say YES. I am addicted to this banding it is fabulous for anything, attaching a shelf to the wall too, by bending it and screwing it to each end of wooden shelf and screwing a length to the wall ,it is good for hanging closet rods too, you can also secure upright chests to wall from the back to keep them secure. great for dog pens, and strengthening chain link fences. you can hang pictures also with a 1" piece as a picture hanger, and corners of frames, door handles outside, carrying handles on wooden boxes.. Use your imaginagine and common sense.

Can this be used to secure a trashcan from bears?

Asked by: Chris
If you swing it hard enough it will, but you should check with your local fish and game department

Can this be used as an earthquake strap to secure tall wooden bookshelf to wall?

Would use screws on both ends
Asked by: Sushibreath
It’s a lot better than nothing, but I would recommend an appropriate sized angle bracket. And I would use two of them on the top of all tall cabinets. HD SKU 537896
