Combination Lock, Resettable 3-Dial

A:  Same here … can’t unlock after setting combination

A:  The directions are extremely simple just follow what it says. Perfect lock for my backyard!

A:  Please return the lock to the store you purchased it from for a refund.

A:  So far so good. Have had trouble finding a descent combo lock this size.

A:  Perfect for securing my car covers. Combination setup was a breeze!!

A:  Open the lock, move the numbers to your choice, lock the lock.

A:  Open the lock, turn the shackle 90 degrees (1/4 turn) until the tab on the shackle is lined up with the slot, depress the shackle. Now set your new code, release the shackle, turn back to the normal position and it will lock and unlock using the new code.

A:  If it's locked and you forgot the combination, you're out of luck

A:  Operating Instructions: This lock is preset to open at 0-0-0. To set your own combination: 1. Set dials so 0-0-0 aligns with the stripe; lift shackle. 2. Turn shackle 90° (1/4 turn). 3. Press shackle down. 4. To set your new combination, align numbers with the stripe. 5. Lift shackle, return to closed position, and hold shackle down while scrambling numbers to lock. 6. To re-open lock, set dials to your new combination and lift shackle. 7. Store your combination at masterlockvault.com.

A:  its set at 0-0-0 from factory u might try resetting using the directions from a screen shot of the back of the package from the store,

A:  Your lock must be open to change the combination. Try all of the numbers to either side of the combination you selected.

A:  This is a stupidly designed lock. Easy to mistakenly reset the combo. Then you are toast. I am returning mine to HD>

A:  I found that with this lock it is too easy to accidentally push the latch in too far when at a 90 degree angle which will cause it to reset the lock to whatever #'s are currently set on the tumbler. It happened to me except I managed to look at the numbers at the time and was able to use thoset to open it with this new set combination. I'm guessing this happened to you too. I don't know of any way now to open it if it got reset other than getting bolt cutters to cut the latch.

A:  lock can only be reset when lock is open. My guess is you accidentally reset combo the last time you had it open. You could take it to a lock smith, but just buying a new one is probably cheaper

A:  There is a video on Youtube showing how to reset the lock. You need to pull down hard on the lock while rotating the dials and feeling for snugness. I tried it and it is very difficult to master. It's easier to get yourself a bolt cutter, snip off the lock, and buy something better. Even if you get the lock reopened, it is unreliable and will likely reset itself again.

A:  I had the same problem, you must have accidentally reset it which is easy to do. just get something else

A:  You can only reset the combination once the lock is opened. If you are sure you have the right combination, perhaps the internals are corroded or jammed. Try oiling the lock to free up any rust, etc.

A:  The combination will be able to be reset once the last combination you use is entered and the shackle is open. If the last combination is not working, try moving each dial one to the and right to see if it was accidentally reset one off.
