I have this exact model (only mine is black). It is easy to program and operate. I am a real estate broker, so I have worked with many different brands and models of key safes. This is an excellent choice. My main car is a Honda Accord - the FOB fits fine diagonally. My backup car is a Honda Pilot and the FOB fits comfortably. My wife has a newer Honda CRV and the FOB fits even more comfortably than the other two (newer keys/FOBs are smaller). I live two blocks from the Atlantic Ocean and have had this key safe for about 2 years. It still works great and I highly recommend this product for your intended use.
It brings a curvy shape hard plastic key which is what you need To use to change the codes. Hope I helped!
It has not happened to me in over two years I' ve had mine.
No it doesn’t not
there is no pre-set code when you buy it brand new.
By default the box is unlocked, i.e., no buttons are pushed to unlock the lockbox.
You are able to reset/change the passcode as often as you need.
It can be easily reset after every use.
Yes, the code can be reset.
I never tried to change it but I so no reason why one could not change it.
The code can be changed as many times as you like...
Call customer service
I use the reset button to reset and re-enter the code.
If you are saying that you added more numbers by accident and you don't remember the code, you can reset the lock and start over again. Just follow the directions to reset the lock so you reset it with a new a passcode number.
Not sure. I forgot the code and now have the same problem.
Press the C button at the bottom this will clear out the last code, once it resets put in your code
There is a yellow tab that you remove to use to change the combination. I believe it says "Tool" on it. Also, there are directional arrows on the inside showing what direction to turn the tab to set the lock combination. Hop this helps.
By using a flat blade screwdriver. Look for the Utube video.
To set a new combination: 1. Open lock box and locate the yellow Recode Tool. 2. With compartment door open, locate the 12 yellow plastic slotted buttons behind the door (numbered from 0 to 9 and symbols # and *). All arrows on buttons should be set to the “SET OFF” position. 3. Using the yellow Recode Tool or a small flathead screwdriver, PUSH and TURN the desired number/symbol buttons 180° (1/2 turn) to the “SET ON”position.
With a grid on the inside of the safe
After opening the unit, on the back there are slotted knobs for each number. Turn the slotted knob to either on or off. If on the number is required to be pressed to open. If off, the number is required to not be pressed to open. Works slick for a basic security keybox.
No, this used for real estate access to structures.
No
No. Not at all. This is meant for a house doorknob.
Yes, this product would be suitable for that application.
No, I don't think so, where on the outside of a car could you attach the lock?
