USING THE CHAIN LOCK IS EASIER THAN DEALING WITH WIRE ROPE AND HOSE RESTRAINTS WHILE STILL PROTECTING THE TREE TRUNK (GOOD DESIGN). ADDITIONALLY AS THE TREE GROWS ITS ADJUSTABLE. GOOD PRODUCT!
