A: The mounting clips in one package will hold a mirror of about 20 pounds.
A: I am not sure on this one. Our mirror is about 18" X 60" and it has been holding for over a year. It didn't say how much weight it would hold on the package. I know our mirror was fairly heavy, but, I didn't weigh it. I am still checking it occasionally, and it doesn't seem to have moved at all.
A: I only use them on the top!!!
A: Yes, the two fixed clips go on the bottom. But, the trick is you don't put the mirror in by pushing it up on the top clips and setting it into the bottom clips. If you have measured everything right, you take the mirror and set it into the bottom clips. Then tilt it against the other clips and just move them up over the mirror and let them down again so they hold the mirror. It is a lot easier than wrestling with a heavy mirror and trying to snap it into place on the bottom. My daughter showed me the trick. Hope that makes sense.
A: Yes. that's how they work. There are some you tube videos that show it.
A: I would be careful with that much weight. Our mirror is about 24 X 60 and has been up for quite a while, but, I do check it every once in a while to make sure it isn't starting to slip. I think it also depends on what anchoring system you have to put the clips on the wall with. I used the largest screws that would fit in the holes and the metal expanding anchors in the places where I couldn't use a stud. Where I could, I put a screw directly into the stud. When putting up the mirror, put it in the bottom clips first, then tilt it up and raise the spring clips up on top enough to slip the top edge of the mirror under them. Then push them back down. Our mirror had to be hung vertically, so we could only use two clips at the bottom and two at the top. Another thing to watch for is that the mirror is out a bit from the wall due to the clips. With ours being so long we put a small rubber tab behind it in the center area so it wouldn't flex too much when cleaning. Hope that helps your problem.
A: I don't know the weight of my mirror but it feels very heavy. I bought two sets and used 6.
