Cooked a dozen times with this thermometer. (8-14hr briskets) thermometer needed new batteries after 48hours steady on - which is reasonable.. nice accuracy and alarms.

failed probe,
The issue with many of the low cost digital bbq thermometers are the low quality thermocouple cables. They kink easily, and when it happens the wires inside of the braded cover get damaged. if there is just a very brief flareup and flames comes near the cable it overheats the cables get damaged. Expect them to last about 2 briskets or 2 steak dinners and the probe is toast...

Easy to use - used it once - cooked ribs in my Charbroil Roaster/Smoker/Grill and wanted to keep track of the temperature inside. Minor adjustments with the dial to keep it where it should be with the roaster/smoker and the ribs came out great. Product did what it said it would.

For the price this is a great product. I have had it for 2 months and use it every time I pull out the smoker. Very easy to use, just place it and forget it. The built in alarm of desired temp will let you know when you meat is done to the desired temp. If I had to say one bad thing about it, it would be that is doesn't have a stand on the back of it. However if you can manage to use the built in magnets or nail holder on the back then you would have any problems

Stuck at 180
