Q:Gate opens inward towards house. 1) OK to use both post monted keypad and remote switch so either can be used by wheelchair user to open gate? 2) Then, can also implement "push to open" so anyone can enter from outside?

A:  Dear Kgone, Yes, to the first question. No to the second question. If the gate opens towards the property, pull to open, You will need to use our Push to open bracket FM148 which can be found on Home Depot.com. Hope this helps. Thank you

        A:  Reuben, Thank you for the question. All of our Mighty Mule family of products are compatible within the Mighty Mule brands. We also have a keypad on homedepot.com. Item number MMK200 that will work on this Mighty Mule post. I am unaware if this will work with another brand. Thanks

            For the cost it is flimsy and once assembled wobbly....
            For the cost it is flimsy and once assembled wobbly. The way it connects doesn't secure the three pieces together very well. I won't be using again or recommend.

            This is a new design. The original had three sections which would screw into the one below keeping a hollow area inside the pipe. This one uses 2 bolts for each joined section which crosses through the middle of the pole. Thus, you cannot have a conduit going through the middle. Makes things harder to install.

            The poles do not fit together firmly. Once assembled the pole has a lot of “play” and causes the pole to be unstable. I had to use self tapping screws to secure each individual pole so they wouldn’t move.

            Not sure why you had problems with the post. It slides together, and the holes are pre-drilled in the post for the keypad. Once installed program the remote to the keypad. If there is a range problem try moving the antenna in different directions to increase range. Please reach out to tech support for more help if needed. 800.421.1587
