Questions & Answers

Do I really have to reset my alarm each time a vehicle passes?

Asked by: Nana
The alarm will sound every time a vehicle passes regardless of the unit showing the alarm. Resetting the alarm only resets the indicator but should still sound when any large metal object passes the transmitter rod buried in the ground.

Will this wireless driveway alarm pick up cars passing by on the road as well?

Asked by: chopper
If it's at the end of your driveway, yes. However, I've given up on these alarms. I'm on my third one in five years. They simply don't stay calibrated. The one I currently have only goes off when a vehicle IS NOT passing by.

Where do you insert the new batteries...
Asked by: Surelyso
They go into the plastic box that houses the transmitter and sits on top of a short extension pipe above the ground. Incidentally, I have found the batteries to last quite a long time... at least a couple of years, if not more.

Had mine for a year. Now it only alerts when cars leave and not when the same car enters. Anyone else have that issue?

Asked by: Cj
Mine still works both ways. Start with the easy stuff, change the batteries on sensor, then trim back any plants that have grown and might be blocking signal. Good luck
