    A:  The fuel filter fits either version of Mr Heater Buddy 9,000 or 18,000 BTU’s and change it after every season . $7/8 bucks I believe.

    A:  The filter will prevent oil from entering the heater nozzle attachment adding years to your investment. Buy one for every season .

    A:  I've had mine couple weeks, works well. Its NOT an odor filter, it filters rubber particles from inside your hose to keep from blocking lines in heater. Propane will eventually deteriorate SOME but not all rubber hoses. Check with your hose manufacturer. Should be changed yearly.

    A:  I have a filter for mine to.i don't think it reduces the smell. But they do make my heater work better with the 12 foot adapter hose on a 20 lb cylinder. Make sure your tank valve is open completely. The detector is def a great idea to.

    A:  No, the filter does not remove the propane odor. It’s sole purpose is to filter contaminants from the propane gas that occur when you use commercially available rubber hoses. I learned recently that missed your heater can provide hoses that do not require a filter.

    A:  thank you for your inquiry. first the filter is for internal tube sloughing to protect the heater not odors. All propane heaters will give off the additive odor of the gas. A slight ventilation is always recommended

          Worth it to protect your heater.
          Cheap insurance to make sure your heater doesn't get clogged with debris or, if your using a 20# tank extension hose, from oils leaching out of the hose and getting into the regulator.

          Purchased based on recommendation , my heater constantly shuts off as long as this filter is in use . Take it off heater runs without fail !

            Buddy heater
            1. I don't like to write reviews. 2. I didn't give 5 stars because of plastic construction that makes it fragile. 3. I would not go camping, stay in a cabin or RV without my Mr. Heater. 4. I like the fact that the customer service is responsive, ready to accommodate and is US-based. I don't like the fact that I can't open and maintain it and clean it myself but then, do I want to miss with a device which uses propane!? I am very happy with my Mr. Buddy.
