NICORs New PrimeChime Plus (PRCP1) combines all the popular features of the original PrimeChime now with Smart Home Video Doorbell compatibility (see compatibility list). The PrimeChime Plus features line voltage and low voltage together into a single unit with a built-in transformer. This makes installation clear and simple. The recessed chime hub features a paintable, Snap-on faceplate for a truly customized look to match your homes interior. The PrimeChime Plus can be wired to 2 separate doorways, each with their own individual chime tone, so you know which door to answer. Have more entrances. Up to 4 units can be linked (daisy chained) together to cover multiple doorways and provide extra coverage in larger homes. This PrimeChime Plus kit includes 2 standard white lighted push-buttons. Lighted decorative and stucco buttons are also available in a variety of colors to match your homes exterior. Includes all mounting hardware and protected by NICORs 1-year limited warranty.

will this work with SimpliSafe video doorbell button?

As far as video doorbells go, PRCP1 only works with the Ring 1, Ring 2 and Ring Elite video doorbells.

It definitely works with Ring Doorbell 3. I installed it a few days back with a little help from Ring support. They were determined to help me get this to work since their documents showed that it worked with Ring Doorbell 2. Ring Doorbell 3 being so new, the documents had not been updated yet. They insisted that nothing in the differences between model 2 & 3 would render NICOR PrimeChime Plus incompatible with Doorbell 3. After I wired everything, I saw in Device Health in my ring app on iPhone that the power source for Ring Doorbell 3 was shown as "hardwired". That indicated that the wiring to the doorbell was correct and PrimeChime was properly supplying power to the doorbell. However, when the doorbell was pressed, no chime would play. Ring support identified that a setting had to be turned-on for the chime to play, namely, Devices > (ring doorbell 3 device name e.g. Front Door) > Device Settings > General Settings > In-home Chime Settings > Ring In-home Chime. Once that was done, everything worked fine.

It is not. I was told by Nicor themselves that this is not compatible for the Nest or the Ring Pro.

Easy to install
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Prime Chime Plus doorbell set is an easy way to upgrade your existing doorbell. It comes with 2 lighted doorbell buttons as nd the mounting hardware. It features 2 different doorbell chimes for the front and the back door. I love that it is recessed mounted and has a paintable faceplate so that it blends in with the wall. It was easy to setup and install. I am very pleased with it.

Bells ringing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great and clear ring/chime emitting from this small device. Installs easily and sits flush against the wall as the main component is recessed therein. Installation of the two lighted buttons was a little more entailed and will require you to run wire for installing to the front and/or back of house. It has two different rings, one for the front door and the other for the back which makes answering the correct door a no-brainer and the best part it pairs with Ring! i highly recommend the Prime Chime Plus to any household with more than one entry.

Great Doorbell Kit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Prime Chime+ wired doorbell kit by Nicor was easy to install, came with detailed directions and pictures that was very helpful. I like that the faceplate can be painted over, the doorbell lighted buttons are bright enough to be noticeable even in daylight and lets me know with delightful chime tunes when someone rings my doorbell. The doorbell chimes are loud enough to be heard without being too loud and has two different tones (Westminster and Ding Dong) for the front and back door which helps when needing to know which door to answer. A standard dual voltage box and extra wire length for running to the doorbell buttons are not included and will be needed if you don’t already have a wired doorbell system or if the voltage box is the incorrect size. The Chime kit body fits into the wall, so it doesn’t stick out leaving only the screwless faceplate is noticeable. The Nicor PrimeChime+ can daisy chain up to four units and can operate up to 200 ft.

The compatibility list shows the systems that this works with. The Google Nest Hello is not one of them. Our new PrimeChime Plus 2 is compatible with most all. NICORLighting

Works but not loud enough
We recently replaced out old SVAT video doorbell which had no video recording capability with NICOR PrimeChime Plus along with Ring Video Doorbell 3. Everything is working fine. However, the chime is not as loud as that our previous doorbell and can not be heard throughout the house. This product allows multiple chimes to be installed linked to each other so when the door bell is rung, all of them chime at the same time to solve this problem. Clearly, they will need to be far apart from each other so that the chime is heard throughout the house. However, the problem to face then is how to run the wires behind the wall between all the PrimeChime Plus boxes. This was not a practical solution for us. It came with a defective push button; the other push button worked. Since I needed just a single good push button to test the unit before connecting it to Ring Video Doorbell 3, this was not a big problem for me.

The product description implied the chime would work with most video doorbells and calls out the RIng doorbell. This product doesn't even work with every Ring doorbell. Had to call NICOR's technical support to find out that it does not work with Sky Bell.
