A: Unscrew the igniter button to reveal the AA battery.

A: Simply unscrew the ignitor and slide out the old battery. Install new battery and tighten.

Q:I received a replacement igniter DHL-128-6Q and the one that was sent has a 7th terminal at the bottom and a ground wire attached to the body of the igniter. The original doesn't have this. When I connected the original 6 wires nothing happens.

Fits my 2 burner

When I viewed the part I noticed it had 5 connections not 2, like my original starter. It was fine though, I simply connected one side to the offset connection (as I figured the offset connector was the ground) and the other connector to the top or first connection. It worked perfectly. If it hadn’t worked I would have just reversed the connections. Not sure if and I did’t test if reversing the connections would have made a difference. This grill/starter fires both electrodes at simultaneously.

Ignitor Module issues

I get me a Griddle this year ( 2020). The Ignitor stopped working after a few month. Contacted the Hotline and get a new one in a few days. The new one stopped working as well. So on a rainy Saturday I had nothing else to do than checking out was could be wrong with the Ignitor. The entire thing is sealed.. very unlikely that both where broken. This set my focus on the knob... There is a small gap ( ring) on the knob and water could penetrate the inside. I used a little bit of WD 40 and massaged it into the gap. I used the first broken one and changed it to the second... one push and it worked again. Give it a shot... Hope I could help some outside cooking lovers and make their day. We need to help each other a little bit more today than yesterday. If it works for you, your smile pays me. Like secret Santa. Dont need to see it, feel it in my heart.
